SpectatorThis probably expresses the feelings of a lot of web devs out there:
Quote:
Hi,I’m a web developer, and I want to thank you for wasting my time. The only thing I can do right now is rant, because you make my job miserable. *edited* you, and your stupid non-working piece of worthless *edited* *edited* browser called internet explorer. Do you even realize how big of a piece of *edited* it is? Ballmer do you realize that you are a fat bald sweaty piece of monkey *edited*? Really, I don’t mean to take a stab at you personally, but seriously, I hope you feel great about the way people feel about your company’s products every day. There are countless websites on why people should not use IE, why web developers, who are doing really cutting edge and amazing things for really grand user experiences on the web, really *edited*ing hate IE and Microsoft’s lazy *edited* approach to fixing bugs. Invalid argument, Invalid argumentd, invalid *edited*ing argument after another, and no decent debugging tools out there, I hate you.
Why don’t you use Apple’s webkit, or talk to Mozilla, and team up with a company that makes a browser that supports standards, and actually *edited*ing works. Not tomorrow, or ten years from now, that *edited* should have been done yesterday. Jump on it right now, make some *edited* phone calls you lazy *edited*s! But please, if you do, make the news of such a decision public on a Friday, because everyone in my line of work will celebrate thier asses off when we catch wind of the decision. Probably more celebratory alchohol among programmers in my industry will be consumed at that moment than any other time in history, and *edited* isn’t going to get done for a few days. So instead of contributing our unproductivity, say, during the middle of the week (because we already are quite unproductive due to your *edited*ty debugging vague bull*edited*), please make such an announcement public on a Friday.
Or here is an idea, why don’t you just let IE die, focus on making your other *edited*ty products, and leave the web alone. Too many people use the internet, it is always bad business to *edited* off the internet, take a look at Scientology. Here are some examples of why you, and IE, suck: the font smoothing looks like *edited*, it dosen’t have a correct box model, it plainly, to put it gently, is complete *edited*, smelly waste bowel excrement. If I went out and bought a car, and the paint was all rough looking and *edited*ty compared to every other vehicle, I would think, that it was a pretty *edited*ty decision to buy that car, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. This is what many many people are doing with IE. If that is the goal, then why not just kill it? You are essentially killing it anyway. *edited* decomposes, that’s what it does best, actually. I mean, when my dog *edited*s in my back yard, I give it a week, and its gone. Pretty quick.
If I have to debug another *edited*ing stupid invalid argument error in IE. I’m going to lose my *edited*ing mind. *edited* you. *edited* you, you *edited*ing worthless waste of time IE developer *edited*s. I *edited*ing hate you. I hate your company, we would all be better off without your worthless *edited*ing products. *edited* off and suck a *edited*.

SpectatorI read until he told MS to call Safari for help. This “web developer” is a moron if he honestly thinks Safari is a better browser than anything.
I found the article where that’s posted and it made me lol really hard. His complaint was about how a javascript wasn’t working right in IE but was in FF. He didn’t say it but I imagine it was originally programmed to work in FF as others replied saying they were getting the same errors after copy/pasting the js code from somewhere else. His complaint is about how java is interacting with IE, explain again how that’s directly Microsoft’s fault because last I checked Java releases updates all the time. If their product isn’t interacting with another product, is it right to blame the product that was there first because it didn’t adapt itself to however you felt like injecting your program into it?
This is the same crap people pulled when they blamed Vista for not having drivers for a product Microsoft didn’t make.
What it all boils down to is that he wants all his firefox only scripts to work on IE. He’s forgetting that IE and FF are very different and their scripts and plugins will never be interchangeable, just like Opera isn’t interchangeable with Safari. It’s an unreasonable expectation.
I have noticed though that FF “developers” are getting increasing *edited*-ish as time goes on. They now have a script websites can use that deny access to the website if the browser isn’t firefox. This doesn’t make people switch, it makes them rage. If you want us to switch you need to change you advertising scheme so that you brag about features that IE *doesn’t* have. The FF website’s “features” page doesn’t have a single thing that IE8 doesn’t have and the “security” list is using IE6 as a comparison.
Come on, you guys can do better. Dice’s broken english can do better than that.
