So I don’t know if this will even work but I’d like to nominate vG mark.1, susik, and sfr to become 1.6 admins. I know they have the hours needed and I also know they will need to make a forum account. These three people have been wcu regulars for a long time. They all know and respect the rules and I feel they will be valuable additions to the 1.6 community.
Also don’t know why helloziyie or whatever was denied admin (other than that stupid 100 post rule, which should be an exception in some peoples case). They’re both good players, play often, know what cheats look like and would make great admins. But on the other hand, you got people who should not have admin running around with it.
There is a system in place for adam37 to waive forum activity but he can’t arbitrarily give admin to someone on the nomination of someone else.
new faces in the admin chat would be awesome. i love it when half the server can tell me im bad via teamsay @

However, I will say that while I like marv, I don’t know him well enough to vouch for him (yet).

The only person out of that list that i might give admin to is sfr, but its also not fair to the other admins who have put in several hours on the forums to get admin when i give sfr admin for not doing the same.
I honestly dont know the other 2, but sfr is always on and ive never had a problem with him. Ill have to think about that one..

Same… on any given weekend I find myself with at least 3-4 PMs where someone in the server needs a good banning. Needless to say i always send grimmy cause he likes to ban hamma
It also would be nice to get some fresh young faces as admins. I can’t recommend anyone anymore because all the people I thought would be good admins either 1) have admin or 2) don’t play anymore. meh c’est la vie

He can’t get it without applying for it.
If sfr wants admin, he would apply for it wouldn’t he? But since he isn’t on the forum, it probably is safe to assume that he doesn’t want admin.

If that’s the case, maybe we should be getting people who are more active when others aren’t. I know we’ve brought this up in another thread a while back and some people didn’t think we needed it, but if most of our admins play at the same time and people PM us looking for admins when none of us are playing, then maybe we should look for people who like to play during certain time slots.
Before I started playing in Appstate and eventually WCU, my previous community asked between what times are you active/available in their application.
I don’t mind hopping on when someone asks me to, but lately, I’ve been signed onto Steam on my lappy, which doesn’t run CS very well for some reason, so I can’t really spec. It would be dumb of me to get on and ban when everything looks *edited*ty and I can’t spec someone properly. MajorHavoc’s been pming me a lot (and Acidak a couple of times) to ban hackers, but I can’t do it. :/ Chris was able to join and ban the other night, but if this is a problem to some people, maybe it’s time to look for players who are available to play (or at least join to spec a player when asked) when the majority of us are not, and edit the admin app accordingly.
I don’t really have an opinion on this yet; I’m just throwing the idea out there.

I really like this idea. Lately I have been able to play at night between 10-1 aprox. and there are several other then too, but at times i have been up until 3-4am and there has been no one on to ban or spec…maybe we should get someone who is up that late to ban.
Every semester before stats reset, we go thru the admin list and remove inactive admins, so when before next semester starts, those people will be removed.
As for adding admins, i’m all up for it, in moderation. I would say we could use 1-2 more

deffenitely agreed….we really could use 2 more but only if they are willing to play during the morning hours(2am-5am) or like 10am
