    Pic 1 shows standard Q9450 vs my Q9450 (200 something samples) I scored 37% higher :D

Pic 2 shows 130 something noobs that tried to overclock their 9450s. I scored 10.5% higher than other overclockers. Ergo, I am superior.

Let’s see your stock scores vs your overclock scores.

A respectable 22% increase in CPU score.

When you get a stable 50% overclock I’ll bow, until then WCU’s EE crowd is superior.

Btw, new updates are available. :)

Probably Windows Defender(LOL). If I used Windows enough to care, I’d do it. Give me a nice WC solution or some nitrogen and I’ll get it up to 50 :P I could probably do it with a nicer fan with a larger sink. Right now, at a 22% overclock I don’t see a significant temperature change (a couple degrees C under heavy stress). I could probably even score higher without bumping the frequency up. I’d say that 4.2 Ghz is more than attainable with this chip, I just don’t see the need for it. Besides, I”m 1:1 sync and I don’t feel like messing with the RAM anymore to keep a nice compatible fsb:ram clock.

To do it he used a really nice WC system (I think Danger Den) with cooling on the CPU, northbridge and video with a fan hovering right about the ram blowing down across it.

You’d be surprised just how well the Core2 series in general handles as far as heat goes. If you can get to 20-25% on air cooling you could easily hit 40% on liquid. The deciding factor at that point becomes how stable your chip is at higher voltages. The Intel chips are surprisingly resiliant but when you hit that line in the sand you’ll definately know it. lol

um 22% is nothing….given im no computer expert here or anything like that but I have a computer in the next room that is over 50% on air….Never heard of passmark but w/e i will get it and post screens.

on a side note give me your 3dmarkadvantage scores as well and we will see who has the better pc…

Why does this always have to go back to comparing epeen sizes?

Btw, you won’t get a 50% overclock on an Intel Core2 Q series with nothing but air and have it 100% stable. You’d be *edited* lucky to get a Q series chip at 50% period. The voltage threshold is the determining factor, not temperature.

I’ve had mine running a 25% over clock for over a year on stock voltage… granted it is a dual core and not a quad core. I can get it up to ~ 3.3Ghz (stock 2.4Ghz) before my crappy motherboard starts holding me back.

If he REALLY wants to challenge me on configurations he can be my guest. He’s sure to be disappointed and it might even be fun.

    if he’s smart, he won’t get into a *edited*ing contest with Kuros…

plus let’s be honest we all know a low-end CPU will overclock a hell of a lot better than a high-end CPU. Given a 50% overclock… I can discern that his CPU sucks lol.

This was never about who had the better pc. It’s about who was a better overclocker. L2 Reading Comprehension.
