I have cats and dogs. I’ve had dogs ever since I was born and just recently (within the last two years) started owning cats. I have to say that while I love dogs and always will, I have never and do not consider cats to be assholes, which is what a lot of people say. I think the video shows that cats are curious and like to interact with people. While dogs are, too, they are clumsy and sometimes dumb. But it’s the kind of dumb that people go “aww” for. The cat actually sat down and played with the tower. A dog would lumber over and knock it over while walking to the person and trying to lick him in the face. I think people think cats are douchebags because 1) dogs pretty much love you no matter what (assuming you don’t abuse them) and 2) cats let you know when they’re bored or uninterested, and though dogs do it, too, dogs are so adorably dumb and you can attract their attention really easily by doing something else… or even the same thing again. Once you lose a cat’s attention, you gotta try a little harder (than you would a dog) to get it again.
Anyway, that’s my take on it. I thought the video was cute. I love both my cats and dogs.
