Navy Seals sniped 3 pirates and successfully rescued American Captain from the Somalian Pirates.
Obama has basically declared war on piracy. Somalian pirates have said all Americans are number 1 enemies. I highly doubt he can eradicate all the pirates, but can we rule out he is a *edited* or chicken? Now you could say he either has balls or is crazy. Maybe a little bit of both?
Enemy Check List:
-Terrorists (Taliban, etc)
-Mexican Drug Cartels
-Somalian Pirates
-Any other “evil” country (North Korea, Iran, etc)
Talk about a full plate eh?

SpectatorNorth Korea is really like the problem child in day care. They are small, smell, and dumb, yet they want all the attention they can get so they steal toys from neighboring children and threaten to throw said toys at them until the big teacher comes over and says…. we will give you a snack if you stop botherng the others. The problem child then eats the snack gloating his plan worked, but once the snack runs out the process starts again.
N. Korea=problem child
toy=nuke
throw=nuked
big teacher=usa
snack=food+money

SpectatorPirates are really low on the threat meter at this point. He said he wouldnt stand for it but its one of those thigns that the us cant do alone. It will need more support from other nations and it should not just be the us to do this either. Alot of other nations have shipping/cargo ships traveling through there already they need to step it up too.

SpectatorI don’t often say this, but piracy with the goal of hostage taking is basically one of the few situations in which (in the words of Lewis Black) you just have to convince your enemies that you are more bat*edited* insane then they are. It’s a mental battle more than anything.

We are going “to continue to work with our partners to prevent future attacks” and “hold them accountable for their crimes.” When translated into normal english that means we’re going back to the status-quo once the situation settles down and the media shifts to something else.
There was a military plan put on Obama’s desk during this ordeal that would have eliminated the pirate threat in that section of the sealane and freed the 200 hostages currently being held by that group of pirates all while taking less than 72 hours from signature to completion. That’s what a real president would do, Obama won’t.

We have a hard enough time as it is trying to eradicate all the terrorists on land. What makes you think we could have taken out all the pirates. There is no way. And going in there guns blazing, well that isn’t Obama’s style. We are bigger than that now. That’s the point, we are trying to be above the death and *edited*. Find ways to overcome evil without doing evil within itself. Fire doesn’t really put out fire. It can only contain it. We need to find other means of overcoming *edited* like this, without making more people angry or simply bombing them to hell. “The people of Somalia are starving to death, it’s a violent free-for-all. Most of those living there have two choices… starve to death or find some way, legal or otherwise, to get enough resources to stay alive. Such environments breed things like piracy. Survivors will do what they have to to stay alive and keep their family alive.”
But again, I’m waiting for that brilliant military plan. Typical republican to take something good, and make it look bad.

SpectatorI won’t lie, if i had to live in Somalia, where there is practically no government, no food, and no water, I think I would resort to piracy and steal cargo for food and money.
Not saying that it is right what they are doing, but I can empathize with them. Seriously that country needs some help.
April 15, 2009 at 2:09 pm #79736Citan001
Spectatorthere really isint any government and yeah those pirates dont have anything left to lose. They do need help and going in with the military wont fix anything. Then again the world needs help right now so yeah :/
