SpectatorI did the original West Carolina Pro forum skin in mid-2007, and this is the first revision since. It’s held up pretty good so far, but after the addition of the gallery, and the switch to personal portals, I couldn’t stand the css shortcomings anymore.
The following things have been fixed:
-White text on white backgrounds in drop down menu’s (including user profiles)
-Optimized images, no longer JPEG, but highly optimized GIF images.
-Fixed all the out of place blue backgrounds, such as those in the NEW TOPIC/NEW REPLY view.
The following things have been added:
-A whole new button set….as I believe the old bright orange was out of place.
-Gallery compatibility.
-Seperate stylesheets for IE, and WebKit, as well as the main stylesheet. Now totally standards compliant.
-Changed the bright orange PIP images (rank image, underneath your name in post view), to a WCUGaming emblem.

Spectatorok 2 things.
1: I want the purple color used to be the same shade as the homepage.
2: need a fluid version

Other than that, nice work!
April 9, 2009 at 11:59 am #78306Derrick LeBrocq
SpectatorThe same purple color is there, it’s just gradiented with a few other shades. If all the purple was the same purple color, it would look terrible.
A fluid version will come this within the hour.

Spectatorlol, I respect your opinion and you’re entitled to it…but I see no blue in there:P
Besides, this is the Gaming Club. We wanna give it the image of a gaming club as opposed to a university website.
Let me explain…
We want it to be fluid with the website and how it looks, but it needs to be individuated as well. That’s always been the idea.

One of them should be changed. I dont care which. But its weird to change color schemes when you go from wcugaming.org to the forums.

In fact, back when I originally redesigned the WCU gaming website in 06, it looked like this:

To Chupa…wouldn’t you rather have *edited* brown than icky teal?
April 9, 2009 at 12:25 pm #78314Chupathingy
SpectatorNo, the teal was much better.

SpectatorFluid version is up. A Teal version will NOT be done, simply because teal isn’t an official school color anymore. If you want a teal version, us the old bug ridden skin.

SpectatorWell, those buttons take a while to make individually. I’ll make a set with white lettering when I have the chance, no worries.

oh gotcha, i though it was as simple as clicking a button to say white o_0Nah..I wish though. Instead I have to either re-open every saved button, and add a white color mask over them, or open the root psd’s change the text to white, and manually save them again. The latter would actually be quicker. I’ll do it tomorrow or something.
