So quick question, i don’t know how to see the results as of yet without voting for someone..and i don’t want to seem shady for voting for myself. So if i could get the results without voting, that’d be cool
And i had no idea this was going to be a popularity contest, if it is. Then i guess i’ll take myself out seeing as i don’t want to be it based on how many people i know over being able to actually run the server well.

I’d just like to say that I have also managed servers before. I owned a dedicated server in Texas for over a year where I ran two CoD: UO servers… I kept stats and created a forum which now has over 1000 members. The servers were packed every day as well. I am no stranger to running gaming servers or starting communities. When my servers were up my website: http://www.drivenbyinsomnia.com was getting over 2000 hits per week.
EDIT: i got the code for the forums from punbb.. don’t want it to sound like i designed the forums.. i just skinned them.. all the images / formatting of the site was done by me personally

Well seeing as how knowing more people or asking them to vote for you is kind of counter productive in this instance. i don’t know why people went to that extent. If you think you are qualified..sit back and watch the people vote for you out of knowing that you are the better choice. Don’t go around trying to get people to vote for you just because you asked them to.
I saw this is a good way of letting the public pick who they wanted to run the other server. For me, it turned into a popularity contest of which i want no part of.
I had all the intentions of running the server as i saw fit when i applied for the spot but now it looks like i have to withdraw my name from the running because of the path this all took.
i wont ask anyone to vote for me i want it to be something they want to do not something i asked them to do and i only hope that people are reading the apps and not just placing votes with out not knowing how each applicant wants to run the server and what they want to do to it for the greater good of the club itself . And to do noting to tarnish the name of the club .
I agree. Anyone who wants to play popularity contests by asking their buddies to go vote for them needs to be removed from the poll.
This is about who we feel, based on the applications submitted, will be best able to run this server. As Major can attest, this isn’t an easy job, especially coming from the online community instead of the school. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication, and you can easily sink instead of swim.
And on another note, this server will not be turned into a Clan server. We’ve had that done in the past by a CL and it killed the CSS server.

Not to seem like i’m derailing the thread but i brought it up because i was upset at people actively recruiting regulars.
So since that has already happened..wouldn’t these results be skewed? (Again, not trying to like get another chance at winning but that does seem logical)
I may be over stepping my boundaries here if so would one of the exec let me know but this is turning into a three ring circus and it really doesn’t need to be so please don’t post in hear about accusations that stuff needs to be either in the admin section or the info given to a exec or cl and needs to stay out of this section . This section is for the placing of vote for a cl spot to run the css gg server not a *edited*ing match . this is the last post i myself with make on this subject because i’m not going to enable anyone to start anything or start making unfounded accusations thank you and resume the votes
All of you really disappoint me. The CS1.6 crowd had the same number of candidates and they managed to do this same election process without any bumps, foul play, or accusations of wrongdoing.
Please take ALL future conversations about any of the above to PM or messenger.
grats lemm i don’t know how you got so many votes from people that don’t came to the site but gj anyway man have fun running the server . If the kind of people that were in it last night keep coming i have to say i wont be because they ended up not only *edited*ing me off from the things that they were saying but offended a friend i had brought to help get the server going. reason like this is why i asked for a exec or another cl to be there but when i left there were neither . and when theres no one there to take control when problems like that arise bad things start happening . but as i said gj on the pole man and grats
