Just figured Id let everyone know that I tried to get in touch with Jill today about the Grand Ball Room and she wasnt there (someone said that she was not going to be there today). I’ll try again tomorrow around 12 and 5
Jill will never be in the office from 12 – 1:30, your best bet is either before 12 or after 1:30 but before 5.

so I checked online and both the ball room and the multipurpose room are booked on the 21st.
On the other hand, the Cat’s Den seems to be free; I think it is something we should seriously consider. They already are closed Saturdays so I think it would be a great space for us to use. We can at least TRY it.
Kaz-Ka asked me to post that we’re going to vote on the location of the next lan on Saturday in the Cat’s Den or something like that.
i’m 10,000% for the idea as im sure everyone knows,, but b4 you go voting on it,, i would advise to make a phone call first and see if they will let us hold a event their.

How about instead of voting we just go get something done. Kaz-ka needs to go talk to whoever TOMORROW and get us a room. We are dangerously close to not having a place to hold this event. We’re already out of *good places.
And as before I think the Cat’s Den is an absolutely terrible idea but unlike before, we’re out of alternatives.
Ok people, Im going to be honest here, I do not like the idea of holdin the LAN in the Cats Den. To be completely honest, since the two other rooms are booked, I think we should just do this in March 14th. And being truthful, I wouldn’t even want to hold a meeting in the Cats Den, let alone a LAN.
Btw, regardless of how harsh my posts on this subject have been or will be I don’t blame you. This should have been scheduled long before you took office.
There was a debate on this last summer that turned pretty ugly (lol?). You might want to read it as it has the pros and cons and the argumentation for both already laid out.
Just go talk to whoever is in charge of reservations and get something. Having a LAN in march would already put us behind on planning for a 2nd LAN in April. If that’s the only alternative so be it but try to avoid it if at all possible.
LANs were scheduled, but having it on the Saturday before Spring break didn’t sit well with a lot of people, I picked dates that worked the best for the time.
Well I went and talked to Eric about the Cats Den today and he said that he would mail me back with an answer either tomorrow or saturday.
This is one of the most important things when it comes to the LAN’s and it’s sad to see that it was handled so poorly. It’s embarrassing when we have to hold one of the gaming clubs biggest events in places like the Cats Den. Can we please get on top of this in the future.

I was actually hoping that would be something that I would bring to the table that was new (trying to book *edited* REALLY early).

Yea but I’m not sure if we can get The Cats Den for the LAN, Eric hasnt mailed me back yet. Im going to check back with him in his office on monday.
