Action: Request a ChangeStatement: I think the reason I have not been playing so much is because of Rock The Vote and the rotation. I think majorx3 is doing an excellent job however I don’t think the server is going to last because of rtv. I was a proponent in the beginning because it allows the players to chose their own maps but it takes away some responsibility the admins have; I also think that the same maps are played over and over because of it.I dont want people to argue but to just have some input.
I wonder if they can make it so that if rtv is used , it cant be used again until like 2 maps later or something so that you dont get every map being rtv’d
when ppl vote,, yes its always going to turn out to be the same maps over and over.
what are some of the suggested solutions to fix the problem
We accept criticism and suggestions pretty well, but please if you fill out this form give an alternative solution for us to look into, not just “this isn’t working for me, cause I don’t like it”, or “I think that idea is stupid and we shouldn’t use it because of that”. We have already tried many different angles of fixing this particular problem and have yet to come up with a solution that makes everyone happy, and to be honest there probably isn’t one that everyone will be happy with, the point is, is the RTV so bad that we need to do away with it, or did it just annoy you because you had to play a map over and over? Things like this we can look into, but anyways please give us more info or an alternative to the problem. Thanks.

I don’t think rtv is stupid but I notice that no one is in the server except for a few maps. And when some one rtv it to d2 3x in a row people peace out…idk I am really tired and I guess its not valid.
I don’t think that is the case, I think your point is valid, I just want more details on what it is exactly that bothers, from what I can gather of what you previously said, it is the fact that it goes to D2 too often, well, how about we do this, where once a map is used in RTV it is removed until a full rotation of the map cycle has gone through?
I dont think that will keep the server population here tho, There is a script that says “you can not choose a map with in the last 5 maps played” and if we have this script it is not working.

I can not find it I know for a fact I have seen it on 10 different servers is there somewhere I should be looking that I am not?
i’v been looking for a good voting plugin for the past few years… i cant find it, thats why i ask. alot of stuff is custom non-public code.
Yeah sounds bad but maybe we should get in contact with a server that we know has it and ask them for their code
We tried that once, got nothing but negativity and FUs in response, if anyone is willing to take the forefront on this, you have my support.
i wouldent go that harsh, but typically ppl dont hand over stuff they have worked hours on, on top of handing it over to competition. but hey if they like to spread the wealth and someone gets it….
