SpectatorSo I was thinking of getting a netbook and I want opinions from people who have one or use one regularly.
Post away.
Also I did some research and was leaning towards this one.

and then I was thinking about upgrading the RAM to 2 gigs.

and not like the graphics are going to be good in a netbook,, but at least this one tells you what you get, and only $20 more (but does not have free shipping) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx…N82E16834115513
i got to *edited* around with One, the at staples and bestbuy, i really liked it.

SpectatorI strongly suggest you get the HP Mini 1000 because of the keyboard. Seriously if you haven’t ever tried them, find a bestbuy or circuit city that has an eeepc and the hp and try them side by side. The difference is monumental.

SpectatorOn general principle I’d have to recommend HP.

SpectatorJust an update… we went with this one.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx…N82E16834149050
Yesterday we were fighting the crowds at our local Circuit City trying to get some deals since they are going out of business and found it for $315. So now I am typing on it and cruising the internet with it. It had pretty much everything I wanted in a net book. The keyboard is good. It has enough usb ports, it has a webcam and mic, etc. The only drawback is that it has a 3 cell and not a 6 cell battery, so we may have to upgrade down the road. I will most definitely be upgrading the RAM to 2 gigs.
