The difference between this and good players is that no matter how good a player gets, they still die when you shoot them in the head. With bunny hoppers there’s no telling what hitbox, if any, you’re actually going to hit. You can hit a bunny hopper square in the chest with an AWP for 15 damage or in the arm for 95.
If you want to discuss this further please create a new thread as this one will very quickly get derailed.
okay i love bunny hopping and playing kz jump maps and such. i see no reason why bunny hopping shouldnt be allowed because frankly, i have never noticed anybody to be any good at bunny hopping in a situation that will actually decrease the damage dealt. i dont even notice any additional lag from bunny hopping, so the only times i use it is to dodge being awped which i see as completely fair, or just having fun while waiting i dont use a script to bunny hop and id be glad to show you how i do it
I personally don’t see anything wrong with bunnyhopping, as long as its not script.
When i do it in soccerjam & other servers dont ever notice an advantage.
Doesn’t cause lag for anyone, & never messes up reg. Least doesn’t seem too.
Theres nothing wrong with being faster if you do it legitimately.
I’m sorry that people cant aim & hit a guy bunnyhopping, hopper can’t hit them either though.
Again, i’ve never seen lag caused by bunnyhopping, & ive played SJ a lot, where EVERYONE bunnyhops.
Really don’t know how you can say it decreases reg. Can’t refute that any except to say, not that i’ve noticed.
Just a thought. I don’t care for bunnyhopping bc i never really see a need for it in regular maps.

People do it regularly in the server. Not 100%sure but I think some of the admins do too.

The thing about crouch running is it gives an unfair advantage because you don’t make as much noise, as for bunny hopping, I personally don’t see a problem with it as long as its not scripted, but then comes the having to decide who’s scripting and who’s not, which is a pain, so to make it simple we don’t allow bunny hopping.
Crouch running does give an unfair advantage but so does bunny hopping because it makes you A LOT harder to hit if you do it well.

sorry i learned to do something that doesnt mess up the gameplay. (ie hitboxes, reg, etc)
Bunny hopping makes you move quicker, also an unfair advantage, is this really that big of an issue, its illegal, if it were legal would I see you bunny hopping all over the map?
It’s been illegal for some time, why’s this becoming an issue now?

You might want to make noscoping illegal too.
& Running with a knife, or scout.
& doubtful youd see anyone bhop all over a map, but itd be useful to get places.

It’s not at all like crouch running because it doesnt mess up reg or hitboxes or anything.
Its like running with a scout, except you cant aim when you do it.
Biggest thing is scripts or not, & there a script detectors to easily fix that.
Sorry that common sense says it should be legal.
And by your logic, we should make EVERYTHING illegal until we have legitimate reasons to make them legal.

Shut up, you’re terrible at CS. It makes you unbelievably hard to hit, which is much worse than crouch running (you make noise, only terrible players can’t hear you). Who cares if you can’t shoot, you basically can’t die either. It lets you get out of sticky situations very easily. And crouch running doesn’t mess up hitboxes/reg, your aim just sucks.

The reason for why bunnyhopping is illegal is already stated…stop trying to argue about it, it’s a rule and it’s not going anywhere. Get over it.

& I was #13 in stats last i checked. So i’m not terrible at cs.
It doesnt make you unbelievably hard to hit, trust me. I’ve knifed people who were doing it. Maybe you’re terrible & cant aim.
If you get shot when bhopping you lose all momentum & CANT bhop anymore.
& Unless theyve done an update for it, crouch running does mess up hitboxes. & you make much less noise than regular running.

I’ve been #1 on here, Appstate and god knows what other pubs, L!O!L!O!L!OL!. It does make you hard to hit, I over exaggerated a bit, but its definitely more of an advantage than crouch running.

I’ve played the game a long time and done well in pubs and leagues. Honestly, I don’t plan on sitting here arguing back and forth claiming who knows how the game works better because clearly you don’t. It does make you hard to hit in open spaces. I guess its not that bad if you have an automatic and spray though, something you’re no doubt used to.
