I have an idea, i dont know if it has been proposed or not. But how about this. How about for a set number of days, Perhaps 2-5, we insert a new, hot, fun, exciting map to the rotation, and hold polls/votes and take a YES or NO, and if it gets a good response.. keep it perhaps.. or put it on a list for HEY THIS IS A GOOD MAP TO USE ONCE IN A WHILE, and if NO’ed TOSS IT!!! I would love to go map hunting and toss up some of my favorites from custom servers. OH and after the 2-5 days of course rinse/repeat with a new map.
Just for the “I told you so”, this is a mistake. If you want custom crap all the time make it a votemap at the end of the round as this will have about the same result. People don’t want to learn a new map every couple days only to have it removed a few days later. It’s pointless.
