[Rules]
1. No cheating (aimbotting, ghosting, walling, norecoil, nospread, ESP, etc.)
2. No racism, sexism, religious defamation, trolling, vulgarities, offensive names, etc. will be tolerated.
3. No spamming voicecom, say, or teamsay. (this includes spamming “RTV”)
4. Map exploits are not allowed (examples: sky-walking, boosting through floors, leaving the play area of the map, illegal flashing)
5. Do not argue with admins.
6. Porn or shock-imagery sprays are not allowed.
7. Pursue the objectives or risk being slayed.
8. Bunny hopping, crouch running, and crouch walking are not allowed. Crouch peeking is permissible in moderation
9. Do not rejoin teams for money.
10. Intentional team and clan stacking will not be tolerated.
11. Do not evade the team balancer.
12. Do not fire into the opposing team’s spawn within the first three seconds of a round in any manner that prevents players from being able to leave spawn(ie. awp_dust/map and scoutzknivez)
13. Be courteous to all players in our server, not just admins. This includes being being overly loud, rowdy, excessive taunting, bad sportsmanship, etc. If you are making the server unplayable, our admins are welcome to remove you.
14. On Specialty maps, such as awp and aim maps, buying is not allowed. Only Primary Weapons provided, and a pistol are permitted.
15. These rules are not ultimate, if we see something offensive, inappropriate, sketchy, or otherwise unorthodox we may require the remedy of them.
[Punishment]
> Any violation of these rules may result in a slap, slay, kick, mute, ban hammer, or other more entertaining form of punishment at the discretion of the admins, in line with the suggestions posted here.
> If the violation is a repeated offense or severe enough, a player may be banned from playing on WCU servers.
> If a player is issued a permanent ban (permaban) he or she may dispute the ban on the WCU forums.
> If you are banned, please wait 24 hours before posting on our forums. This is to ensure that non-permabanned players do not contest non-disputable bans.
> Any player may be banned for up to 28 days without the possibility of ban repeal. After that point they are considered permanent and can be appealed.
[Help/Admin Abuse]
> If no administrator is present at the time you are playing and you require assistance, please join the WCU IRC channel and ask for help. The instructions for doing so are posted in our forums, or on our home page in the top right corner there is a link to a java IRC client that will connect you.

[Demoing]

These rules will be updated as issues arise and many are left to the admins discretion. If there are any issues or questions involving the server rules please contact any admin or executive and they will be happy to help.

yeah i don’t agree that there should be a rule against bunny hopping….any reason why we spawn w/ no pistols on awp_dust as well?
Please Let the admins understand this rule.
4. Specialty maps with built in buy zones (ie. fy_iceworld, awp_dust/map) allow buying of everything except flashes.
Because they seem to think guns other than the awp and pistol are not allowed.

ill remind him of that.Are we going to update the motd to include these? I liked it when the rules used to be up when you joined the server. If people claimed they didn’t know the rules, we could always throw it back at them that they were listed prior to joining a team. It currently says on the motd that people are expected to know the rules.

Bunny hoping:
Makes you go much faster than normal players
Makes it much harder to hit you
Increases server lag, consequently decreasing overall server registry
Decreases shot registry against you, even shots that should do damage don’t
Usually requires a script to do well, breaking the whole “no hacking” rule
The difference between this and good players is that no matter how good a player gets, they still die when you shoot them in the head. With bunny hoppers there’s no telling what hitbox, if any, you’re actually going to hit. You can hit a bunny hopper square in the chest with an AWP for 15 damage or in the arm for 95.

i agree with chris and disagree with the bhopping rule altho its not that big of a deal because i’ve noted very few players in wcu even know how to do bhop.

you said both crouch running and crouch walking is not allowed? Crunning is the explote, Cwalking is just holdong down crouch and moving forward..(right??) why is that not allowed? prob just a typo adam37 pointed it out,, lol

tapping crouch while walking as u would while running…. i added that in cause ppl do that “in protest” when ppl say no crouch running

I see a lot of noobs do this around the corner cuz they think they’re being sneaky and end up getting a facial. However, I know that lately it’s been turning into when you walk and TAP crouch. I don’t see what advantages you get by doing this. It annoys the hell out of me, though.
Once upon a time, I warned a regular to stop crouch running, so he did the crouch walk instead. I asked Major if that’s allowed and he said no, it’s not (and it’s stated in the rules here, too). Major told me the reason, even though it seemingly does nothing, is to leave no gray areas. Crouch running isn’t allowed because it gives you an unfair advantage, so we ban it. If people were allowed to crouch walk, it could lead to problems like people asking why they can do one, but not the other. Or people might try to slip a couple of seconds of running and then start doing the crouch walk again. Just an example. To avoid ANY kinds of problems, we just prohibit the use of either.
It’s kinda like this situation I experienced recently pertaining to being an admin and following rules. Someone removed me from his friends list because I wouldn’t let him camp spawn and he was trying to use the excuse that we’re friends to have me bend the rules for him. I told him no. Obviously, if I let one do it, someone else will do it, too, if he thinks he meets the same conditions (that he’s my friend). It’s pretty black and white for me. I might warn them a few more times than some random person in the server (that’s as much leeway they get from me), but in the end, they all end up slain/kicked/banned. Don’t leave anything open to interpretation; no gray areas.
