Bloodlust
SpectatorSo, here i am chilling in source. Some idiot is killing him self in SK, over and over to avoid pointloss or something.
So i say “RageQuit ¤ Bloodlust : stop doing that you *edited*nig *edited*”. Now i admit i went a little overboard, but im sick of people ruining this game. Anyways. Someone named Mindsweep (Peanut) !slap’d me. I then respond with “RageQuit ¤ Bloodlust : HES KILLING HIM SELF RageQuit ¤ Bloodlust : DONT SLAP ME.” “(ALL) ADMIN: don’t say *edited*ing *edited*”,
“*DEAD* RageQuit ¤ Bloodlust : well then *edited*ing deal with the proble at hand.” “*DEAD* RageQuit ¤ Bloodlust : not because someone says a word you dont like.” (ALL) ADMIN: keep it up” “Disconnect: “argue less”. Main point banned for a ridiculous reason, and i’m sure he didnt even do anything about the person killing themself.
Thought to be Admin steam ID 0:1:2991026

SpectatorTemp bans are not appealable. Sorry. (If this isn’t appeal, then continue, just going on what it looks like.)

I could care less if i’m banned, just don’t want this to happen to other people. People with admin do and or should follow very strict rules, especially when it comes toward banning someone. Most do.

This isn’t really worthy of a 1 week ban considering the circumstances.
Admins: Please ban the people breaking the rules, not those complaining about you not doing your job.

SpectatorStrike 1 for mysterious admin?
December 6, 2008 at 12:09 pm #65397ren
SpectatorI think that regardless of who the admin was, or what the circumstances are, there are better ways for both sides to handle it. Instead of saying “stop doing that you *edited*ing *edited*”, you could just as easily say “stop doing that *edited*” or “you’re making our team lose *edited*” or something to that degree.
While that may be misunderstood as being abusive towards whoever that is, it is also taken into consideration that you are someone who just wants to play the game and have fun, and that person is ruining the fun for you and others.
Jumping up and calling someone a *edited* is completely unnecessary. All it does is make you look like a stupid bigot, and thus you get banned. So please, save us all that trouble by not doing that.

Yes, i know i went a little out of hand, but none of this would of happened if the admin had done something in the first place, is that not right?

SpectatorTyping “kill” in console is not against the server rules. So what action needs to be taken?

killing yourself is not against the rules. However, repeatedly killing yourself to avoid losing points for dying warrants some sort of punishment.
I have changed it so that suiciding automatically subtracts 15 points.
Bloodlust, after looking over the logs, what you did was obviously wrong. You ban will remain through the weekend.

I acknowledge that what i did was wrong but i would call a week ban out of the hand, but it is your decision and the ban is fine with me, as long as you have fixed the problem that as at hand, and to peanut. Ruining the game for other people is and if not should be against the rules. Also would like to state, what if an entire team decided to start typing kill in console at the start of every round, are you saying that because it is not a direct rule, the admin would do nothing about it?

SpectatorWe’re in the process of dealing with this problem right now.
