If the download time is long it’s because your internet sucks. The server our maps are on can (and usually does) send at 1+MB/sec to off-campus clients if they can go that fast. Maybe 1.6 limits the download speed, in which case you may want to look at server modules to fix it.
If the map is good but large, don’t worry about it.
