Investigators said that a dead bear left on a local college campus and wrapped in Obama posters was a prank gone bad. The carcass was found on the Western Carolina University campus early Monday morning. Initially officers believed the bear was shot in the head and worried the incident was politically and racially motivated. However, after receiving tips officers said they found the students who did it. Officers said a total of seven students were involved. They told police they found the bear already dead on the side of the road and dumped it on the center of campus as a joke.
