Exec’s Approval Rating

i think that bitey you are doing a good job, and so are a few other execs. but there are a few who are REALLY bringing down the level. i put poor because of those people. i just think that the execs should be making a good example for everbody else, they should be less biased and not promote people that they like and be against those that they dislike. for example though liam may have found it funny… i’ve been banned from irc for a few days now. because i told him that i don’t want him to talk to me because all he does is attempt to put me down. he thinks that because he does alot of work or has alot of power that he is the big cheese. i have every right to tell someone that i don’t want them to speak to me. if any of you remember kore wa, liam is acting just like him. i broke no rules yet i got banned

Nodice is supposed to be the alumni advisor and yet he gets totally and fully disrespected, one time i saw was liam told him that he had no right to move posts and if he did it again that his powers would be taken away. how the *edited* can you humiliate a man who has tried so hard to make everything easier and make this club better. for the record, I voted fair because things could definitely be better, but they could also be much worse. The club has not died in a fire yet (though this thread aims to do that), nor is it about to anytime soon, we have future events planned, etc; I don’t see how people can really rate it worse than fair. My only request is that some of the execs (myself included) vent their frustrations elsewhere than the public forums.

All I have to say is “exec” like “admin” is just a label, and in the end we are all just a group of friends. I voted a sadface because I don’t think we have enough love in the this mix. This isn’t a job, or a rank, it’s fun, bottomline, and as much as we should “respect” admin and execs, we should remember as admins and execs that the only reason we can have those powers is because there is a base that supports us. Anyone who is inconsiderate and ignorant of this knowledge shouldn’t be called execs or admin. fyi i’ve been “casually” drinking.

this is all from my perception and so whether it meshes with reality i dunno but (all posts are in reference to cs:s)

1. i think we discussed a change in rotation, people suggested maps, i didn’t see a change in the rotation, at least one i recall. i’d post my suggestions but that isn’t what this thread is about

2. MasterP and Liam are too much alike, and while i like all the liam has done for the server i feel that these two, whenever one gets called out on something that the other just gives the other one a reach around. I complained about what i felt was admin abuse on Liam and it looked like the reaction was Oh U! That Raine is a whiny man *edited* and liam gets off with no real warning

3. That anonymous posts are not treated as such

4. I feel that the execs i have talked with have been remarkably thinned skinned, like Thomas Jefferson thin-skinned, and so when there are negative comments towards their performance those who have voiced those comments have be attacked

5. I feel that the server has been left stagnate for a while, it’s doing OK, but it isn’t the awesomeness that i remember it once being, now it could be that the players i liked a lot left, which begs the question why they left, or it could be something else, i dunno.

OK rain i’m going to check threw this do not take this as a attack please as it wasn’t planed as one .

1. yes people made suggestions on map rotations but you have to remember that the exec also have school and work so changes take time .

2. about what you felt liam was abusing admin well what you thought was abuse the exec may not have so it gets squashed .

3. personally i fill there shouldn’t be any anonymous posts at all if a person has a problem then they need to post about it not under anonymous but under there name so it can be handled and not hide behind anonymous .

4. as much cap as the exec take from people in the comunity i would be thein skinned to people do not understand all it take to have a comunity like this and to keep everything going .

5. and yes the server has lost a go amout of the old regs to other games witch has nothing to do with the exec there isnt always a reason for a person playing on other servers .

remember this was not made as a attack on you or anyone else just trying to explain some of the stuff you had posted about .

I dont think I count “fair” as “approval”

if you weigh the system with 1, 0.75, 0.5, 0.25, 0 from top to bottom you get an approval rating of 57.5 %

but i r fail with math so i doubt my numbers worked or are even describing the right thing.

Thanks for the support buddy, I try to do the best I can with what I am given, I am learning quickly though that I cannot make everyone happy, and I am done trying that, some people will not be completely happy, but what we should be able to do as a community here is find happy compromises to situations, this means people need to be more open-minded, cut out the negative bull *edited* drama and when an idea is proposed try it first, bash it later if it doesn’t work. Anyways, it is only words that are in text and I can’t make anyone care about it or do it, I can just say that this what I am trying to do, and I need the entire community’s support, if I don’t have it then it is a worthless cause, and we’ll be stuck doing the same thing we have been doing for years, not that some of those things aren’t good, but we certainly took a wrong turn somewhere.
