I dont know if i just get on at the wrong times or if there really arent that many admins for the WCU server. Or even if there are admins in there and someone is hacking i dont know if you just turn and look away or if you really dont know what the *edited* to look for. But we all really enjoy playing with hackers. OH and fun night last night.. blew *edited*. Idea? Maybe having polls or votes for a map list? Suggestions? Instead of putting up two random maps for vote that both suck and kill the server. Kthx. Ive been playing here since the server was born. Ive never seen so much suck. too bad adam bomb isnt handling it anymore
OH and the pf_dust map whatever it is. worst idea ever. kthx. we have too many ppl for simple maps, unless its REAL simple to where its fun like iceword and such.. is survivor even a map on here anymore?
Another thing. i LOVE the Gamerstrust servers map rotation, not to promote their server here, but to give us an idea of some actually fun custom maps. i would suggest looking into it 69.12.53.20:27015

rofl..sorry we cant please everyone..we kinda try..there are admins on most of the time..Spain..you should get admin..use admin chat to alert an admin if there is suspected hacksoring..I try to be discreet when i watch For hackers..not like HEY YOU HACK im going to spec this fool and get everyone and their momma to keep saying HackserSIST is hacking with aimbot and speedhax and walls SO ban him and who is an admin on HEEERREE!!?..also..IRC to get an admin could work..I watch anyone sketchy or people with good scores or people that I am told to watch..a lot of admins use diff names all the time so you wont know they are in there…LOOT.
but to answer your quest, i asked the question in the topic description, ranted on the actual post.
Everytime there is a hacker in there and someone isnt there i usually try and page an admin on steam. i dont know why i dont have admin. i have had it several times.. it came down to a “you must be more active in forums” thing.. so i guess i have to be active on forums. which i kind of feel the need to. because i dont like where this server has gone. and your right you can please everyone.. but when everyone thinks its the suck… then what?
UGH i guess that means i have to idle IRC too.. cant i just pwn noobs and get admin

imma try to respond to everything u said
1) For hackers, we usually have an admin on at all times, even into the wee night. if there is a hacker on pm me or any other admin that u have on ur friend list. We also have many admins idling IRC, so u can check there too. And eventually we hope to have out Vent server back up and you can pop in on there to grab a hold of us too. And if all else fails, grab the steam id and we will pass the word around to watch again for the hacker.
2) Last night, where we were voting what we have on the server. I have put up 20 threads asking people to give suggestions for awesome maps along with links, but people have either just said PUT STAR WARS and left, or just decide to complain on the server once fun night have started. I’m willing to take suggestions and i encourage it. Just post links that you want in a fun night thread and ill see that they get on the server.
3) As for the regular rotation. please post complaints and map suggestions. I would appreciate it. This server is ran by suggestions that you have so give them to me. As for GT, they are lame…. don’t play there
.4) Survivor is a map on the server and several people have asked for it back and i will throw up a vote to see what people think at a later date. If it doesn’t make it to the rotation, soon we are planing on an “Old School Nite” where we play all the old non played maps, and survivor will defiantly be on there.
5) Please post more and get admin. Your a good guy and i would like it if you were an admin. Just post more, give suggestions to help the server out and hopefully then it won’t “suck”.

Lol yeah i was about to post that.. They do nominations for map choices which i hear we used to have and was a bad idea.. is there a way to maybe seperate the lists and have the server randomly pick 3 custom and 3 normal or something like that to get a set list? i dont know what all can be done.. The thing i like about GT’s server list is the fact that.. their custom maps arent exactly like FUN maps.. like scoutz, HE_maps, fy_maps, etc. Instead you get well made, balanced maps that bring a new flavor to the gameplay so you dont do the same DE and CS maps over and over again.
I personally like the custom maps that are indeed full maps,, however b/c we dont do a funnight but every once in awile,, it never gives anyone a chance to learn the larger maps and they just leave unfortunately. Thus why our fun nights have been the off the wayy *edited* style noob map that doesn’t take more than 2-3 rounds to learn. just tossing the reasoning out their for the fun night map style, i dont have a problem with giving a few of the tru custom map a try again…. what are some of the better ones you have played spain? some that are easy to learn preferably

Admins are on pretty often. Maybe you don’t know all of them yet? I dunno. The last few times I’ve seen you on, me and metric were on (metric is on a lot; I’d add that noob). Veritas is incognito with the name “seR” and Liet’s been popping in and out (although I don’t recall you and Liet being on at the same time).
Somewhat offtopic, but instead of posting a new comment two minutes after typing one, can you just edit the previous one?

you have to *edited* about everything i type so its not a big deal, but just b/c i dont have a problem with it does not mean it is or is not going on the server.. I cant make that call, and i did not. I am allowed to voice my opinion much to your dislike, deal with it.

And whether you believe it or not, the way you have been talking the past few posts in this thread project the impression that you have the power to directly do as you “suggest”. Bash me all you want, that’s how it’s coming across.
As to the 100+ maps, I remember a few years ago when there were a TON of maps on 1.6, and none of them were any good. I may be “jumping to conclusions” but it’s not like this hasn’t already happened before.

Well, since there are only three people with direct access to Tron, its unlikely he could get anything done without MajorMajorMajor directly asking himself. I’ve already expressed this to NoDice and hope he understands our stance on it.

Ok first off
NoDice has been helping me out greatly with the server as I sorta noob with mods and such. He’s the Alumni Adviser and he is advising me on many things and I really appreciate it. I also like the fact that he takes initiative with finding things out that can help out the server, such as finding out about the SK crashes, and looking into spawn editor mods to fix the maps up. He may have crossed the line with moving posts around, but as i see it, that sort of discussion does not belong in the 1.6 area.
As for those maps, is there any way we can find out which ones are most popular and we add those and try them out. Ive been encouraging the move to more custom maps since i became CL but have been trying to stay conservative for many of the people who come to play on the server want that. I think it would be a great idea to test out a few maps and see what people think because it prevents WCU from becoming static.
People who play some on GT: toss out some map names from that list that you really like and ill throw up a vote and see which ones are most popular with you guys. Then we can start some trials and see what maps are popular with the rest of the server. I’m def not gonna add all those maps because that is ridiculous.
