If everything works until you open a game then it’s most likely a game config problem. If Windows works then there is no reason to touch any of your non-game related video settings. Try manually entering 800×600 in your game configs to reset it to something you can work with.
ok… so i cant figure out how to change the game confg. i tired to open the config file in the steam folder but can figure out/to scared to go and try to change things… other than that i think im gonna try to connect via HDMI cable and see if that works cause hdmi is smarter than vga
