Aztec is probably my favorite map in the rotation, and it *edited*es me off when it gets rocked. This is why it keeps happening: Because it is a CT sided map, good people that just worry about stats tend to go CT (I’ll admit, I do it a bit myself) and stack CT. This leaves the not so great players, along with one or two good ones, on T, stuck on their side of DD and Bridge and Water after one round, because they are dominated every time they try to exit. Hence the RTV. I blame Valve.
. (On the other hand, since I know that Liam has other stuff to do besides manage CSS (like his OpenGL project), when he DOES get to the autobalancer and other nuances of the server, and that stuff works *better*, Aztec will play more balanced and will stop getting rocked.)

I like the map sometimes but the ct side is always stacked b/c of the stat *edited*s that can’t push auto select sides. If it wasn’t stacked and the t side would actually listen and execute the strat calls…it would be a lot more fun. I just wanted to say I wish people would play the map right instead of just wanting an rtv as soon as it comes up.

I have wished that for all maps forever. It would be great if you had to auto assign always. That cuts down on team stacking and clan stacking.

I am in favor of the forced auto-assign as well. A lot of the “good” players do stack sides on this server all the time. The only time I ever pick a side is when my roommates ballz or beast are on the server and I want to play with them.
Also.. sometimes when I’m auto-assigned to T i like to change my skin away from that crappy albino arctic warfare one that sticks out in every map…. It’d be nice if we could somehow get the auto-balance to set the skin to anything else.

Oh, forgot to give my input on this. It’s a good idea for auto team select, but its not just stat *edited*s who stack CTs on aztec. People in general like playing ct on the map. If you implement this, it has a high chance of clearing out the server, at least on T-side. But who knows, try it and see.
hmm so i see its went from the awp to Aztec now i bet a lot of yall are the ones that play mmorpgs and love to complain on those boards also Aztec is not a hard map to win on on either side you just have to try i like force auto join but your still going to have those time when people learn when to join to get it stacked so just kill your enemy and live with it as t side going don’t sit back and camp and you will win Aztec and as ct camp your ballz off not hard just takes people trying
I thought there was an understood auto-assign rule anyways. I do like the whole forcing of auto-assigning thing tho. I say give it a try.
I <3 forcing Auto. I call people out on stacking a side all the time. Ask anyone >.> it makes me mad that the same people play T on italy, CT on Aztec and etc.

Forcing autobalance is fine with me. I had actually considered it a while back but didn’t think it would go over well. If they want it, by all means.
EDIT: Let me throw up a vote for this. It’s kind of a major change.

i’ma stop auto-assigning on aztec… i think i’m just messing myself over.. hopefully the auto-assign feature will be forced in the future
EDIT: I won’t fight the auto-balance though 🙂
