Depending how many people show. and pending the number of laptops. the MP power grid is set up so each outlet is on its own circuit. you can easly do a PC and a laptop on out wall outlet. their are about 8 in the MP room. For food i’d say stick to the caferteria, or everyone pitch in and get a pizza’s. Getting funding for everything takes time. and the club all ready uses more than our allotted shair of the ResLife funds, not to sure they will give us more for a ~10person event.
and as far as networking i dobut we need any big swiches, they have a few wall ethernet outlets in the MP room, we need like 2 or 3 6 ppl hub/switch and we would be set. but as nickname said. he can take care of all that much better than i can. The only problem i can forsee is funding for the room. I think your best bet is to get a studdy room booked in one of the dorms. they are free.
also you can look into holding a computer lab in like belk. i dont think they charged for them. This is where we held our first few LAN’s when the club was only 30people wide
