SpectatorI don’t know about any of you, but I have been looking forward to this game for months now, and as we approach the release date of October 28th, I thought I would share what I’ve found out so far. Besides the new drum kit and guitar, GHIV has a lot more to offer. One of my favorite features is seen here, its a new feature that allows users to upload a song and turn it into a GHIV playable song. These songs are then posted on the online media part of whatever console you are using and are able to be downloaded and played for FREE. I believe that giving users the inspiration and ability to create their own GHIV songs will help more produce a stronger community in both GHIV and other such online communities like WCU’s very own gaming club. Below is some content from the game that I’ve been able to find online.
Drum preview:
Commercial:
Motorhead behind the scene:
Ozzy behind the scene:
Official song list (not including GHIV official downloadable content and user created songs)
Pre-order the entire band game for $189.99 here!

SpectatorBy the way nobody seems to have mentioned it but the people who make guitar hero and rockband got together and agreed to release a patch sometime soon that would make it so that the gibsons can be played on rockband and visa versa….they mostly agreed because of the new guitar hero drum set coming out…nobody wants to have to buy and have two diffrent drumsets and guitars in the room…it would force people to buy only one or the other unless u have lots of space and or money…This was anounced at least for PS3…i dont know about other systems but Im sure its the same.
Here is the link for the offical announcement from sony >>>

SpectatorYeah I remember hearing something about that; smart move for both companies as then both companies will sell more copies of the game and the profit margins on the game itself are higher than the controllers; win-win for both companies.

So i just went through the entire set list for this game and i think i cried…SO MANY good songs, by far my favorite song list of any of the games so far (including rockband)

This might actually help the Wii version of Guitar Hero get off the ground as lots of people have Rockband but not GH.

SpectatorStupid question time: Now that Guitar Hero has drums and a microphone, what differentiates it from Rock Band?
