So, I moved out of Central yesterday and brought my computer home for the rest of the summer. I got home, set everything up, and then flipped the power switch.

My computer answered with a resounding silence. Everything else works (as in monitor works. I also switched out the power cable with another from an older computer to see if that’d help, still nothing). Also, when I flip the power switch with an ethernet cable in, it still shows a connection being made with the green light. So, I’m assuming something is borked to hell with my power supply.

Any suggestions before I drag the thing somewhere and pay to have it looked at?

Please, please, please, please, please. I neeeeed my computer!

Also, if you need to know anything in particular let me know and I’ll try my best to help.

A green light on the motherboard/Ethernet port on a PC that won’t turn on generally signals a motherboard problem. May want to check the chassis (case) wiring to the motherboard to make sure nothing wiggled loose on the move.

Turned out something went all wobbly during the move. I dunno what it was but my friend looked at it and pretty much pinpointed it.

It’s working just fine now. Thanks!
