Besides, FF 3.0 is MUCH improved over FF 2, maybe you should even give it a try.

That’s what they said about FF2 and it still had the “feature” most PC gurus call a leak.
Toss on your brainwash hat and give me a brief overview of how it is “MUCH improved”.

of note:
Improved Memory Management
With all new management functions in place, Firefox 3 keeps memory usage under control. The XPCOM cycle collector continuously cleans up unused memory. Plus, hundreds of memory leaks are now remedied.
also here is a comparison of some browsers:
http://crave.cnet.co.uk/software/0,3902947…296021-1,00.htm
of note:
How it compares
Firefox remains the best browser on the whole, with great features, impressive improvements all-round, a revised bookmarking system and thousands of add-ons to make it easy to perfectly customise.
The improvements in performance are stellar, it’s got some well-integrated features than everyone will use (resumable download manager, tag-ready bookmarking) and it offers, overall, a better, richer Web experience. We’re behind Firefox and we hope that when the final release is out it’ll be just that little bit better to boot.

Spectatorthey jsut need to put in sum skins that are good

Spectatorthe default skin on windows kinda sucks even compared to the old version. the default one for mac on the other hand is beautiful; it actually looks like it belongs with the OS more than Safari does. 1000000000000000% superior to safari on mac in every way. The only thing it has going against it on the PC (besides its kinda ugly skin) is the fact that you have to use IE for windows updates on XP.

Spectatori believe it’s this one…however, the tabs look a little bit different than on my theme so idk for sure…perhaps my different add-ons could be messing with the tab design…i’m pretty sure this is it.

Mother f.er, you weren’t kidding when you said FF3 looks better on Mac than Safari. Didn’t know something like that was possible.
Nickname would like you to believe he’s always right but suffice it to say I do get things right from time to time. The arguements here are nothing compared to those we have in the CRIB. If they got any better I think we could sell tickets.

SpectatorSo FF3 is that good? It knows when you want to autologin and prevents it with leet sikurity.

SpectatorI’ll stick with the Firefox I have for a while. At least until FF3 is out of beta and a few versions in.
And along with Major…how do you get rid of that *edited* AOL search? I miss when Firefox was defaulted to google and auto directed you to pages. But, no. One day I install the *edited* new AIM and the whole thing usurps my computer with a classic 1939 blitzkrieg.

look there… i did that and BAM AOL… GONE
June 23, 2008 at 12:14 pm #49625MasterP
SpectatorOnce AIM is on your computer, you can’t get rid of it. It’s like herpies for Windoes. Just because the registry cleaner “removes” it doesn’t mean it’s completely gone. It may not be visible to the user but there’s parts of AOL in all sorts of hidden cubbies of the registry.
FF3 is “out of beta” but from the complaints I’ve been seeing it should have had a 10th or so beta before being released. I’m sure it won’t get anywhere near the bad rap Vista got for being undertested.
