SpectatorI have to discredit this video to my parents and others. If I fail, the stupid *edited*, Mccain, might win. What proof do I have to discredit this?

SpectatorLOL you haven’t seen this before?
there are forums and websites everywhere that completely say that this video was bull*edited*. basically they used the logic any statement taken out of context, no matter how trivial can be used to make a person look bad. It’s the same thing with bush, except he willingly gives material (LOL)
basically everything statement that they make about him, from not putting his hand over his heart, and like double talking issues all when taken in real context give either legitimate reasons or are complete bull*edited* because they entirety of the message is lost.
if you pay attention, obama has already posted statements to the legit issues presented and his responses make perfect sense.
now with that said… i kno im not gonna vote for him, but as a candidate i kno he will still win the election and is probably the best candidate out there.
i think i’ll vote nader this year

SpectatorI know from expierience that discussing politics on the forums rarely ends well. Still, I’m game if everyone else is. I think Obama would be a hideously bad president and there is no way I will vote for him. This year, I’m either going with McCain or nobody. Nobody is looking pretty sweet at the moment. I like his platform.

SpectatorYou’ll notice that most of Obama’s unscripted speeches have either serious mistakes or flat out lies in them. Libs have been bashing Bush for YEARS because of his accent and trouble improvising but I don’t remember him ever saying anything that comes close to some of Obama’s crap the past few months.
I mean he did say he had visited 57 states and had 2 left to go. If you don’t know how many states there are you have no place being in ANY political office.

I agree with that, none of the candidates are any good but I think McCain is probably best suited for the position. If democrats and independents hadn’t voted in the Republican primaries in droves like they did we would have had a much stronger candidate and if the media wasn’t retarded we’d have Thompson. Thompson was the most conservative on the list but he was largely ignored by the media because he didn’t readily produce the one-liners they typically run with.
Btw, for those keeping track, so far one of the three senior members of Obama’s VP selection committee has resigned for having shady mortgage loans and a second member is close to being forced out for his role in Clinton’s pardon extravaganza. This comes less than a week after Obama was forced to give contributions back to a longtime supporter convicted of more than 20 federal corruption charges. If this had been a Republican it would be a big deal but since it’s a Democrat it’s being largely ignored.

SpectatorHere’s what I think of the election thus far:
Obama has the absolute support of the far-left. Also, most of the media is totally in the tank for him. Their support of Obama borders on the
. McCain has he support of the moderates, but the conservative base of his party flat-out dosen’t like him. It would be wise of him to select a solid conservative as VP. Maybe if he puts Romney on his ticket, the Republicans will forget about the immigration crap he pulled last summer. Similarly, Clinton supporters feel pretty left out. There is no telling if they will support Obama or not. Putting Clinton in Obama’s VP slot would win him some voters, but the hassles that come with it might not be worth it.
This year favors the Democrats, but most polls put McCain and Obama neck and neck. McCain’s best advantage is his expierience in that he can simply say, “The world is getting really dangerous. I’m the old war horse. My oponent is a one-term pup.” Also, Obama made nice with a lot of crazies back in Chicago. If another one or two or fifty pop up, McCain would be crazy not to exploit it. Oh, and warming up to the right would help.
Obama has serious advantages: he is a much better public speaker than McCain, the media will give him the most favorable coverage imaginable, and a lot of people are angry with the Republicans. Personally, I don’t trust the leadership of either party, but the Democrats suck signifigantly more.

I agree. I don’t know who to vote for. I am ashamed to admit this but I would have voted for Hillary if she had gotten the ticket (runs and hides).

Al Gore won’t run. His theories on global warming would be debated over in public and his lies would be exposed in the mass media.

SpectatorI’m tired of all this devisive political stuff. Let’s talk about our favorite Pokemon instead:
I know everybody seems all gung ho about Pikachu, but I think these people are misinformed. Now, Pikachu started his career in Chicago, a city whose political scene is extremely far-left. He knew that, as a Democrat, the best way to make political connections was to hang out with the likes of Bill Ayers and Jeremiah Wright. Now that he has his eyes on the entire country, he has abandoned these people, as most voters find them disgusting.
What this tells me is that Pikachu’s change rhetoric is meaningless. He is the same as every other politician: a louse. This alone does not turn me off to him. After all, in politics, the alternative to a louse is another louse. No, what bothers me is that Pikachu is a louse with nothing good to back it up. I disagree strongly with Slowpoke’s positions on Guantanamo Bay, immigration, and drilling in ANWR, but at least I generally agree with his views on nuclear energy, abortion, and the Iraq War. Also, it’s hard not to respect his actions in Vietnam. If Slowpoke chooses a more consistently conservative Vice President (Geodude comes to mind) I might just vote for him. I was rooting for Geodude in the primaries anyway.
