Renton’s Big Bro
SpectatorFirst, go on that stats page… check out that there have been 8998 bomb plantings, and only 1675 bomb defusals. This is one of the lowest defusal rates i’ve seen in my life. 18.6%, something shameful. I’ve never felt so sick in my life, literally – i just threw up an hour ago. But seriously folks, let’s step it up. What would america be like if that was our defusal rate? I remember the last time our defusal rates were so low… 1995, remember that state in the middle of no where? It’s cause of people like you… (too soon for that joke? eh i went with it) I urge, NAY!!! I IMPLORE all of you to raise this lowly percentage to at least 35%. Cmon people, how are we to honor those who have died before us if we can’t even cut the right wire? Take an electrical engineering course, I know most of you are in college. Take an art class. And learn colors, and which one to cut. If you need help i’ll just give you the code to the bomb. Friend of mine made it in grad school and tipped me off. It’s a popular bomb and i’m pretty sure all the terrorists use the same ones, just like those AKs.
ok i’m bored but i was looking at stats and that just seems low doesn’t it?!

Spectatorthe reason that the defusals are so low is that everyone plant on the warm-up round for plant points and then no one has time to defuse it
December 13, 2007 at 11:00 am #32254peanut
SpectatorI doubt the warm-up drops the rate in half, from what Ren claims it should be. 1 round for about 15? And it doesn’t get planted every time either. Not sure, but I think it might be the defuse timer, compared to the number of noobs that join up.
Just a thought.

Defuse time is 30 seconds like its always been.

SpectatorAll i’m saying is that sometimes people run away from the bomb, that’s all.

Spectatori flash the defuser and smoke the bomb and then shoot them repeatedly, does this hurt the team?
December 17, 2007 at 5:33 pm #32484LuckySeven
SpectatorHey renton im doing my part on defusing just go look at the stats.
December 17, 2007 at 6:34 pm #32485Lemm
SpectatorI bet u are lucky.. I bet u are…
LOL.. bracket just showed me this trick the other day that you can throw a grenade between the defuser and bomb and make him stopzor… it’s hilllaaaarrrriiiooouuussss.. maybe bracket is single-handedly messing up all the defuses…
also, random crap like guns and such next to the bomb mess up defuses a lot.. valve needs to get on that .. cus it’s really bull*edited*

Spectatorwow, that is a pretty low defusal rate. it’s hard to say why it’d be that low.

December 29, 2007 at 5:15 am #33119Wildthang
Spectatorgod renton not all of us are pervs like that………… so how bout that link?
December 29, 2007 at 11:47 am #33124peanut
SpectatorOffice is the easiest hostie rescue map, if you are quick, and we don’t play it much, or many hostie rescue maps for that matte, so on a pure numbers side of things, I think that might have something to do with it.
December 29, 2007 at 10:50 pm #33152peanut
SpectatorI’m sorry, Havana is the easiest hostie rescue map, we should play it more often.

SpectatorRenton, i may need that password man, it seems like i can never type it in fast enough.. no matter how much i rehearse. I think they’re making the buttons smaller or the CT more slower at defusing (i say we blame liam for his hackings

SpectatorHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH…
pwnt
January 28, 2008 at 12:29 am #34880PistolPete
SpectatorWell it seems a lot easier to plant then defuse only because the defuser either starts freaking because there is a T left somewhere running around, which is so hilarious when the CT looks up and stops defusing thus the bomb blows. Also all you need is on really good T at not so much killing CTs but distracting them long enough where they cannot defuse the bomb. Haha that is my favorite because I suck and still stop like 5 people from defusing the bomb.
