Oh, I’m not saying there is any solid evidence linking real life violence to violent games; I’m saying that parents have the right to protect their children from games they find innapropriate and retailers who ignore common sense hinder this. The government itself should not assign ratings, but fining stores that sell M-Rated games to kids is just a good idea. The jist of my post was that these organizations you have linked to have no power and never will because they take this stuff way too seriously (see previous post 
) and can’t compete with the parental groups that oppose them. The game industry is bigger than movies and the top-selling game of the year was Halo 3. I see no eminent crisis.
