Player named Pokerstars was blocking players in office, and then blocking T stairs on Train. An admin named Splooge something (Raven) was online, he was asked by American and myself repeatedly to kick Poker. He responded by claiming poker was lagging (right at the door, sure buddy), i disputed this claim. I will admit, it provoked him with the line ‘splooge = worst admin ever’ (a la simpsons) just to see if he would kick me. He did. So he kicked the person complaining about infractions, but not the person performing them. This admin should have his admin revoked until he can demonstrate a more mature usage of the powers he has been given.I play here every night, I dont complain, I dont rock the boat, and I think I have the right to expect that those who run the server treat me with respect.Thank you,Cameron ‘helltoupe’ camnixon@hotmail.com
Poker wasn’t blocking, lol. I followed the guy around, I hadn’t seen any block. I wanted to make sure before I kicked him. I kicked you because, well, your ranting on the mic was rediculous to say the least. Can’t have that man. And your constant demands of “kick this guy now” etc. Your “you suck as an admin”. Dude, who peed in your corn flakes?? Respect goes both ways, and your behavior was unacceptable.
However what I am failing to understand is, why would you appeal it as a ban? Whats wrong with you?

I posted here because there was no topic for “admin abuse” and I felt it was something that should be kept out of the General Forums. Raven, I fully admitted to provoking you a bit, but there was no question he was blocking, and after three people complained, you should have at least not insulted our intelligence by telling us we were all wrong. As well, I’m sorry, but your use of kick over my verbal comment (all text btw, I dont use mic) was excessive. My main point, and the reason I made my comment was to see if you would kick the person who questioned your authority, but not the person that was accused of improper play.
I’ve admined for OGL and CAL, servers (by all means, check if u want) as well as big servers in their day: [AWP], [uberMensch], [8-Ball], [bastid], and [br@ts]. Admin is something to be treated with respect. Players talk *edited* all the time, but admins must remain above petty ego issues. Quite frankly, you could have p_say’d me and asked me to spec with you, or asked me to mind my tounge.
In light of the fact that I was indeed correct, if nothing else, I hope you plan to use more caution in the future regarding your admin.
I didn’t insult anyones intelligence. I checked it out, saw nothing, and moved on.
Congrats on admining CAL, you must be proud of that. Just one small tidbit though, this isn’t CAL. Sounds to me like you are merely trying to roll back on what you said in the first post. You blatantly TRIED to get kicked. I think thats enough to end this discussion.
I would encourage you to refer to this posting by your own president and read his thoughts on the way he feels his admins should represent the WCU community.
okay, chubby bear called me and asked me to come in on inferno because pokerstar was blocking. first round i came in and i spec’ed pokerstar. he runs to the apartments thing and as soon as he gets in he just turns around. i kicked him. when he came back in i told him that if he blocks again he would be banned. after a few rounds i left and came back in as “go cowboys!” cause i couldn’t think of another name. pokerstar didn’t block but then “T*H*E*B*U*G*L*E*R” or w/e his name is started to block. i kicked him and a few rounds later i left. i wasn’t called anymore to do anything. and zack was in the server at the time but he wass on the other team so i figured thats why he didn’t do it. and someone named summit who wouldn’t tell me who they were.
are we all middle school girls yappin here? banned for blocking? i dont know maybe a little harsh. i would have 1 day ban and thats it.
well the point is, if you break a rule and you get kicked and warned for it, and you keep breaking the rule you get a ban. i’d do it for an hour and if he came back a week. afterwards permanent. but the point is repeated breaking of the rules will result in a permanent ban.
I didn’t get owned by anybody. This guy can complain all he wants, but FROM WHAT I SAW, the only person acting up was helltoupe. I hate a blocker as much as the next guy, but I didn’t see anything out of the ordinary from Pokerstar….no blocking, no nothing. I assure you, had I seen him blocking, I would have done something about it, but helltoupe, because you felt the need to test me, and you already openly admitted to trying to be kicked, you need to learn that respect goes both ways.
You TRIED to get kicked, I don’t see how the client treatment policy comes into play here if you literally TRIED to get kicked?
I used my better judgement and did what needed to be done. End of story.
On another note, this is why I switched to source. People tend to be more mature on source.

It’s not so much that he was blocking ONE time or something. If it was once I would not have brought this up.
He has done this same thing in the server for the past 3-5 nights. And not only does he block, but he blocks major routes that pretty much funnels the whole team into the remaining areas which means easy pickings for the other team, and in some maps there may only be 2 ways out of spawn. And on top of that he is no help to the team and you can see in the demo’s he mostly just bothered the other players or camped.
Anyhow, it’s not a HUGE deal, I just figure its probably best for him to be taken care of so the community of people who really enjoy playing on the server (me included) do not get bitter.

The next time it occurs and there isn’t an Admin on, please hop on IRC. http://www.wcugaming.org/irc.php and grab someone. There’s almost always an Admin on there who’s available and this way we can pop in when the problem is happening and take a look.

Word, its been a while since I have been admin on WCU and I dont know many of the admins who play on the server now. Back when I was a part of it it was Split and AdamBomb.
And thanks for the info, I will drop in next time.

I’ve been here since the club erected as well. Right along with Adambomb. (erected).

alright final words here…helltuope dont tell admins what to do in server, suggest yes, but continuing is wrong if he saw it im sure he would kick, get over it go a different way….as for you raven just check in it a little more when that happens and go into spec if u have too….end of thread can be closed now…also helltuope dont post in this area for that ty
