SpectatorSo points are finally back up, and of course I went home this weekend, where my wireless sucks humongous walrus penis. So I can’t play my second favorite game on Earth! I’m just really upset right now. I really might start crying here in a little while. Seriously. Comcast sucks *edited* here in Houston…*edited*…/rant

SpectatorHhahaha, you’re in Houston? I’m in Houston, well just south of it in League City. We have Comcast here. I thought it would be a nice change from Time Warner to Comcast, because Comcast kicks *edited* up in New England. But it sucks giant donkey balls down here. Its very well established up in N.E. but down here they keep uping the price and not being consistent. Oh well. That was my minor rant about that.
Btw. Do you have satellite for TV, we are thinking about switching.

SpectatorNo we had all TimeWarner and switched it all to comcast obviously, and it was great with TimeWarner, I could at least play cs then. But now the wireless sucks, the digital cable is sketchy. And I also heard only good things about comcast from northerners. But we are about to switch to ATT satellite TV and internet. Hopefully it will then be a good change…Although I have never heard good things about satellite except for the plethora of channels of course. wish this was ./rant

Spectatorwell thats very upsetting, don’t tell me that. I was already worried that this summer I would have to do something productive instead of playing cs, now with the assurance of no cs through satellite internet, I’m just going to have to get super cut at the gym and makes the money$$$$. I’m totally just kidding about the getting cut, I’m not very big, most places…

SpectatorATT satellite internet? Where I am (in league city) we would have to get att dsl, and the satellite tv is Dish Network (not so hot there, i have heard that Directv is the way to go). I didn’t know that att offered the sat internet here. You should look to see if you can get Verizon’s Fios (Fiber Optic) that would be the way to go. I’m pretty sure it is available in certain parts of the Houston Area.

SpectatorYea, I don’t think it would be satellite internet, it would be dsl, but technically I think its slower than the comcast w/e I have right now. And yea Directv is the way to go I hear also. We will see what mama-bear wants since it is her house, and she lives there more then 3 months out of the year…

SpectatorComcast works the same way as Time Warner, you have to call and complain to get anything done. TW will reduce bandwidth over a line and see how much they can get away with before people start calling in.
Go to http://www.pcpitstop.com and do speed and packet-loss tests. If either aren’t what you have been promised call and complain. If they give you the loop remind them that you are the paying customer and can call the FCC and file reports of them not fulfilling promised services to customers. If they have a monopoly on service in the area then that will be an extra kick to the groin because utilities that have monopolies on service in an area are held to a higher standard than those that have to compete.
