SpectatorGo there to see the video. Source is easy? Recoil is lame? Movement sucks? wtf is this *edited* then. Recoil has to be the smallest *edited* I have ever seen. How much skill does it take to quick scope someone? Instant smokes? wow, whoever thinks that doesn’t make it easier is just dumb. No slow down from jumping? Awesome let’s all play wc3 mod and move at mach 5.
Seriously what is with all the talk from them supposed professional cs players who were making the game about making it harder and more competitive. CEVO doesn’t allow bunny hopping, the models are the same, recoil is smaller, instant smokes, spammable walls, no awp delay, are they joking? I’m not really boned up on my cs history at all, either way Alex Garfield doesn’t know wtf he is talking about.
Want to know what guns are in the mod? Start pistols, deagle, mp5, galil, famas, ak, m4, awp. The only guns used competitively beside the scout. Point made, but why is all the game mechanics so conducive to pubbing and an arcade style of play. If as they pointedly said, that they want to replace source as the competitive game of choice how the hell is bunny hopping going to jive on tv?
This game is going to suck, where is your god now kuros.
/end of rant. it helps my sinusinfection/flu/aids/earinfection.
edit: If my famas shot like that in source I’d get banned in about .04 seconds for people thinking it was norecoil. And gg on the three beta keys given out.

Spectatormeh i think source was better… like you said smokes and firing spray were not as realisticly challenging as the old cs… this really makes me want to play now, lol

SpectatorLol Dice.
Actually, CSPro does look terrible.

SpectatorYour post don’t make any sense goat. which is it?
Eh this was just a troll post anyways, i still think it’s going to be lame. I’m actually a pretty positive person when im not dying from multiple small ailments.

SpectatorWho cares how it looks? Can’t judge till we play it.

SpectatorThe no-recoil is retarded.
October 8, 2007 at 12:41 am #27998Outie5000
Spectatorit makes it harder because it makes people who are already really good that much better because they dont have to deal with the stupid bs of cs.
this reminds me of DoD back in the day. Snipers had a long *edited* black out and delay when they scoped, so if you waned to be a good sniper, you never scoped. it just wasnt worth it.
To play on the upper echelon of competitive gaming is to be insane. really all pro is doing is turning cs into dod1.3. a great game

SpectatorYeah I will probably do the same even though I’m pretty prejudiced against it. Can’t help but giving it a chance.

Spectatoris this a steam DL?
and do you need 1.6 or source or both to play
October 18, 2007 at 9:42 am #28680Brian
SpectatorAny version of the source engine, half life 2, css, dods

SpectatorI don’t think I want to put that aids on my computer just yet…
October 18, 2007 at 1:04 pm #28693Brian
SpectatorHmmm, nades are absolutely *edited*ing stupid, if 1.6 is tossing a watermelon then this is tossing a 500 pound marble as far as I can. the AK is about a hundred times more accurate than the mp5, ammo buying is annoying and dumb, bunny hopping is stupid, duckhopping is as well, shot registry however is dead *edited*ing on, way way better than 1.6 or source by a ton even with my *edited*ty rates( you can see em in the pics I had net_graph on, all of my shots were hitting when they should have been, Ak really is easy mode, it’s a beast of a gun, good god. Apparently recoil is like it is in 1.5 or 1.6. Oh yeah and you can see people’s names through flash, as you can the results of which in the pic I took there, they cried blood from that little incident. Dunno if that is a 1.6 faggotry or a bug. It’s wierd, 1.6 people like to talk *edited* mostly about how much easier source is then 1.6 etc. I think the bigger models is balanced out a ton by how much more complex the maps are in source. They are really simple in cspromod and positioning/map knowledge/intelligence does not matter as much as reflexes/shooting skill imo. One final note, how the *edited* does it take a team 2 years to do 30mb worth of work? We have maps on the source server that are 120 mbs that didnt take as long to make as this. Hell looking over the bug notes in the readme I see *edited* they could do in half a days work.
EDIT: I get no difference in frames per second than what I get on source. What a crock.

SpectatorThat… doesn’t sound very fun; although its nice to actually have shots register
October 18, 2007 at 1:30 pm #28698Liam
SpectatorWell, when you completely ignore the physics engine in the Source codebase, its easy to get things to register. CS1.6 even has a bit of a physics engine, though nowhere near as complex as sources.

Quote:
————4. Install
————
1) Make sure you have Counter-Strike: Source Installed
2) Extract the CSPromod folder into \Steamapps\Sourcemods\
3) Restart the Steam Application; “CSPromod” Appears in “My Games”
4) Use the in-game GUI to bind your keys. DO NOT TRY TO USE YOUR
CS 1.6 OR CS:S CONFIG. MANY COMMANDS HAVE CHANGED, SO OLD BINDS
WILL NOT WORK. Specifically, “buyammo1” is now “buy primammo,”
“buyammo2” is now “buy secammo,” and “+speed” is now “+walk”
They couldn’t even make a self-extractor for it
October 18, 2007 at 2:30 pm #28709Brian
SpectatorYeah I guess it is just css that you need. Apparently the nades are gonna be fixed in the future.
October 21, 2007 at 3:22 pm #28820Spartan Niner
SpectatorThis mod is all kinds of FAIL. n00bs who call me hacker in Source will ban me all the time if I play this…
Think Source is easy? This is like brain dead twitch reflexes…
