SpectatorHad this preordered since June. Will be picking it up at gamestop at midnight. Can’t wait to play coop with 4 people on xbox live. It will be crazy. Also I’ve been looking at some videos, apparently you can hit rockets with the covenant hammer looking thing. People can play baseball, it looks very interesting. Plus you can edit maps in real time and record playback of every game. Psyched about this game…

SpectatorI feel weird because I haven’t really felt amped for this game. I was completely stoked for Halo 2, loved that when it came out, but I feel like I’ve been so busy with other stuff and other games that Halo 3 kind’ve snuck up on me. I’m sure it’s gonna be great though. It’ll give me a reason to renew my XBOX Live membership if anything….

SpectatorI know I’m new and this is my first post but…. I honestly don’t know if Halo 3 will live up to the hype. Honestly it looks as if they might have changed the style and gameplay too much. Yes the Spartans are going to be the Super Soldiers they really are, but what new twists and turns will the game take? The graphics look amazing and they certainly took their time in making it but I’m really worried that it has changed too much. Port. grav. lift, bubble shield, spartan laser… come on guys! Look at the jump in technology from the first Halo. Not even to mention the books. I follow story lines closely. Yes I am nerd enough to even read the books. I mean will the Spartan III program be introduced? Will the other surviving spartans come into play? Cortana changing sides to be on the floods side? And I’ve been reading off the Halo website that basically the master Chief might only fight on Earth. And I have a theory about the final plot twist. I think that Earth might be the Ark.
But this is just my opinion. And yes I have reserved the lengendary copy but wont pick it up until Friday, mainly because I want to still do work and have nothing to do during the weekend but play.September 24, 2007 at 11:10 am #27402ChaosWolf

If it is paid for, you may want to have someone pick it up for you so it doesn’t get gone.
I may not be back on campus with my halo till late Tuesday night as my buddy whose birthday is tomorrow, and is taking the time off to break in my copy with me broke his hand and cannot drive. So we will be at my house until Tuesday night, unless of course he has to go to surgery, which at this point is a possibility.

SpectatorAll I got to say about Halo3 is it better be D@MN good to fulfill all the hype it’s getting.

SpectatorIt is scoring 8.5 and above everywhere I’ve read. It looks to be pretty good so far, I hope it lives up to the hype and reviews though as well.

SpectatorWell in retrospect, they changed the gameplay of Halo 2 from its predecessor (removal of health system, grenade throwing, weapons, jumping, etc). And I have played the Beta. The gameplay was nothing too terribly new, and the features they added only boosted the level of gameplay even more. It added a new element of strategy to the game. Halo 2 was purely run-and-gun. Now with the bubble shield, force-fields (on doors and passages), trip mines, the portable gravity lift, etc has added a little more caution and wit. Granted, the gameplay is still as fast paced as it ever was. Plus the film capture feature and ability to upload up to 5 of your best game films is nice. Also, the new emblems, call sign system, and larger color palette allows for more customization while the game’s interface allows you to change everything from the lobby, your appearance, game type, network choice, and post game stats is a plus. Maybe they didn’t want to overhype it and let the game speak for itself.

Also, we saw you at Walmart, Kappa ;P.
Halo 3 actually looks really good, watched the G4 special, have been reading up a bunch, etc. I look forward to playing it Wednesday
