Spectatoranyone know how to do this? no disrespect to any of the higher ups in WCU Gaming but this is not a problem i’m new to. i get banned from every pub i find that i like and its irritating. i’m not ranting you guys i’m just generally curious as to how to fix this problem. i recently bought a ratpadz and razer diamondback mouse about 2 months ago and got back into counter-strike source. i take breaks now and then from CSS but always seem to come back to it because its my favorite game. i immediately got banned from 5 servers in one week after i started getting my skill back. i get banned now and then but this is unusual for me to be so frequent. have the hacks gotten that much harder to detect. i thought people who hack on pubs did it blatently. i’ve always had this “shaking” problem when i’m being shot at i get nervous and swing my mouse around to fire back. i love high sensitivity, so high that if i hear somebody behind me i want to flip my wrist and turn around with a headshot to their face. anyways, i thought the ratpadz with this new mouse was magnifying my shaking problem and getting me banned. i tried turning my sensitivity down but i never did like it low so i turn it up again. this is my first time with a real gaming mousepad. i normally just use a hard wood desk or table. so anwyay, the servers i get banned from(like this one) i always ask in their forums or if i can get ahold of the admins why i was banned and get some knowledge to not get banned from more servers and possibly get unbanned. but alas, it hasn’t worked but for only ONE server i play on regularly, a Reverse Gungame Server. now i like reversegg a lot but i like playing normal CSS too. i’ve always known most CAL players get banned on pubs but i’ve never been in CAL or the like. a long time ago on CS when i had dial-up i lead a OGL clan that was ranked #1 for a long time. A&D (armed and dangerous). it just got too much trouble after awhile and when i got a cable modem the OGL open CS league was much harder i quit. sorry if this is too much writing i just thought some background information would be helpful. again to the root of the problem, HACKING… i’ve always known about it since the voodoo models that added long lines that stuck out of buldings and the simple wallhacks up to xqz2. i tested them to get better understanding of who to ban on the server i admin’d on. when that server got shut down i never really cared to test newer ones and have not tested or used one to this day. i’m just irritated at admins for banning me. i understand they have to make judgement calls on who to ban and yeah i probably do look like i’m hacking but its just skillz and experience coupled with lucky shots and a $200 headset. i’m not sure if this will help but here are other posts in forums i’ve recently been banned in trying to get appeals and asking for advice.

Alright, kuros, brian, liam, and all the other admins let me reirritate myself. I am not crying or making excuses or *edited*ing, i Genually want to understand what makes me look like i’m hacking and fix it. so please don’t delete or lock this post. leave me banned from this server i just thought it would be a good place to get some input considering most here are college students like myself. I currently go to East Carolina University in Greenville and love the idea of a college having a gaming club so advanced and neat. If you took the time to read all of this and offer me advice other than “Tone down or skills” or “stop hacking” or “quit the game” then thank you!

SpectatorI posted in the other thread about admins but seeing as he started one ill add my contribution. I would gladly come to a lan too and show there are 0 hacks on my pc…not saying hes legit, I dunno I didnt see the demo but I agree with him in showing us or telling us the proof of how we hack, Id like to see where it is or what im doing that made u guys ban me.
well I just wanna say, you guys have an awesome server, one of the best out there with constant traffic, cool people, and some decent players. I just regret the fact that you admins dont know how to spot hacks and cheaters from the legit players. Ive never hacked yet you guys say I can see thru walls. Hell because I liked the server so much id play with a webcam or video recorder and tape me playing just to prove it to you. The sad part is any1 who has been in a league or has made it through Cal-M or has played CS:S for 3 or 4 years knows where people camp. So after a while u just get in the habit of checking those spots before u round the corner you aim toward them, thats what makes players good, they “Anticipate” where people are, that plus a good headset and most of the time u know where they are. It disappoints me that you admins cant accept that some of us are really legit players. Id really love to see the demo u guys have of me hacking just so I know what it looks like. Besides as good as you are Brian, I would of thought u woulda been one of the guys to see im not hacking, cause if I am I suppose you and Ace.Dets much have all the hacks on…Oh well best of luck guys but sooner or later your server wont have any1 but nubs if you ban any1 with decent skill. Take Care.

SpectatorIf enduro sends me his aim info we can talk further as the admins as we are reviewing your case again after some doubt. Kenrin yours is not up for debate though.
August 25, 2007 at 5:50 pm #25317Bitey
SpectatorKenrin I will say the same thing I said in IRC, your targeting reticle bounces around when you shoot, but when you move around, turn corners, and just simply aim your clean and smooth. So its quite clear, how do you get headshots like you did, through a rail on the well at one point in time, shaking like that? How do you get headshots at all shaking like that? Plus the way you “shake” is identical to an aimbot, I have seen people with a shaking problem play and they move from side to side or up and down, your movements are erratic. So stop using that as an excuse, slow down your mouse speed maybe that will help, I dont know. Regardless your appeal was denied. Have a nice day.

Spectatorthank you bitey, thats the response i wanted. the one thing i’m considering doing is getting a G5 mouse or something as thats what most people use right? i love my razer but if its causing this much problem by the way i play i don’t want to use it. i know my movements are erratic its not an excuse i just desperately want to fix it so i can have a good time on a server. would you think a G5 would help? i’ll try playing with mouse sensitivity settings more

SpectatorI think it doesn’t matter what mouse you use and after 3-4 years of playing source you should at least know that.
August 25, 2007 at 6:13 pm #25321Enduro
Spectatorpm sent brian, i am on aim and xfire now if u can contact me
August 25, 2007 at 6:34 pm #25322Kenrin
Spectatorwell i didn’t think it mattered if i was good or not or shake or not as long as i don’t hack but that isn’t true either. but since the mouse was new i just figured i would ask
August 25, 2007 at 6:54 pm #25323MasterP
SpectatorIt’s not the mouse, the mousepad, or the sensitivity.
August 25, 2007 at 7:10 pm #25324Kenrin
Spectatorthen its just my unique way of playing? i’ll have to break the habit then
August 25, 2007 at 7:25 pm #25325MasterP
Spectator“Unique way of playing” in not the best way to describe why you were banned.
August 25, 2007 at 9:10 pm #25327Kenrin
Spectatorthats how the newbie trainer admins described my way of playing when i was banned from there. it sounds good to me. i think its the perfect way to describe why i was banned since i can achieve the look of using hacks without using them.

SpectatorOMG! I just played and shook my hand when I was aiming and I’m 13-1!!!!
… sorry, kidding. This topic was just feeling a little sad and depressing. :/ btw manual shaking of a mouse AND aim would require massive amounts of arm strength and a highly underweighted mouse, as the strain on the required muscles becomes enormous over time. Where as, high sensitivity and shaking creates an impossible aiming situation where the slightest hand shake you can make sends the cross hair off target, not bouncing around inside the area in which the application is rendering the player mesh. Unfortunately facts considering your story.

Spectatorexactly pinkcs, my wrist starts hurting when my mouse sensitivity is too low so i raise it but that in turn creates the shaking. i’m not sure how much the boomslang plasma razer weighs but its pretty light and the ratpadz makes it even lighter with absolutely no friction. its amazing, i’ve been into gaming with fps and mouse aiming since quake 1 and never used a gaming mouse pad per say. the NT guys(newbie trainer) said that it was like my aim was constantly trying to correct itself when it was firing, DUH. i’m trying to get headshots and its not like i mean for it to shake. i’m trying to find a sweet spot for sensivity but i like having the shaking with high sensivity as opposed to hurting my wrist. the shaking isn’t a problem for me i only notice it in certain situations where i’m startled or irritated that i’m not getting a headshot quickly. eventually i get one or i die. its only a problem for me because i keep getting banned for it. still i’d like to thank the admins on WCU again for not locking this thread and banning me from the forums. i enjoy the feedback even if some of it is negative.

Your excuse? I saw your demo, that is *classic* characteristics of aimbotting. Have a nicer day.

Spectator4.5? weaksauce… mine sits at 17 or so, and if it’s shaky no one has ever said anything
August 26, 2007 at 12:20 am #25345Kenrin
Spectatormines at 2 but i have the razer sensitivity and windows sensitivity set all the way to max. with my other mouse it was at like 15.
Brian, what is wrong with posting stuff in a thread like this, i already said i’m not trying to make excuses or care if i get unbanned. i just want to talk about why good players get grouped together with hackers and what i can do to fix it.
August 26, 2007 at 12:30 am #25349MasterP
SpectatorReal “good players” don’t get grouped with “hackers”. You’ve been thrown in there because you actually act like a hacker on the server. The only way you can “fix it” is to either cut the hacks off or stop being retarded with your mouse.
August 26, 2007 at 12:53 am #25356Kenrin
Spectatorwell i’m trying to “stop being retarded with my mouse” thats why i’m trying to fix the problem and rule out what causes it. i know the main cause is just the way i play but fixing a habit is not as easy as you think when you really get into the game. i even told someone while i was playing i was trying to not shake while i was shooting and he said “oh we don’t care about that here its all good you won’t get banned”. he went to WCU not sure if he was an admin or not though. guess he lied to me too.

SpectatorYes, In-game sensitivity matter now guys!! /Sigh
August 26, 2007 at 11:11 pm #25414Kuros
SpectatorEven if you were shaking randomly, your crosshair continually snaps directly back to the person you are trying to kill. Since recoil is fairly random, it would take an extreme amount of luck to continually shake/snap back to the person while recoiling. This is one of the easiest ways to catch an aimbot, to watch for the recoil snaps back at the player model hitboxes. That’s why you were banned and that’s why you will stay banned.
August 26, 2007 at 11:41 pm #25418Kenrin
Spectatorthats why i use bursts and “snap” or move my mouse back to their head. i guess its just my ignorance for assuming i wouldn’t get banned for being good. yes i saw the 3 people in spectator and assumed they were watching me but i kept playing normal anyway without trying not to shake my mouse. and if i should say. its the times when i’m really lucky are the times i get banned. nobody cared about the rest of the time i played that week except when i was on a streak with a good amount of luck. with experience in counter-strikes recoil since they added it in beta 3 or 4 i should hope i know a little about the recoil to get it back onto the hitboxes anyway.
August 27, 2007 at 7:59 am #25427pinkcs
SpectatorSeriously. Enough is enough. You got banned. There is no legitimately proven reason for shake-and-snap. If there is somewhere, you can still take this as a blessing, as you’re being saved from ‘serious’ RSI issues and can go about enjoying the rest of your life pain free.
And btw, when checking for aim botting, there is a natural time delay between sight, comprehension and reaction. Aim botting negates this natural delay and instantaneously snaps back to target by pre-empting the necessary movement perfectly, everytime. It initially slows down or cuts short the recoil by creating an instant opposing force so can be seen as soon as the fire key is pressed. Its unfakeable and unmistakable.
August 27, 2007 at 8:18 am #25430Kenrin
Spectatorall i’m saying is that you guys are mistaken. i would not play on your server again even if you did unban me because of how you ban anyone who is good you don’t know.
if what you say is true then how exactly did they mistake that for me just playing normal? the “opposing force” was my hand moving the mouse and i don’t know about the instant the fire key is pressed. i just aim at head, burst. stop, aim at head again, burst, by then they are dead. if they are fairly close i may just hold down the fire key and move my mouse back and forth over their head. since no server admins have let me see the demo that is “undeniable proof” of me aimbotting then i don’t know what i’m doing wrong or how to fix it. thats all i’m trying to do pinkcs

Not that it really matters since VAC will just eat your account soon, but the easiest way to fix it is to uninstall your hacks.
Hacking sucks, I dont care that you say you dont do it. There’s been a ton of people who say, “I swear! I don’t hack! Honest!” and 2 weeks later VAC bans their acct for hacking as well as they remain banned from the WCU Server.
August 27, 2007 at 8:31 am #25433pinkcs
SpectatorI guess it needs to be stated :/ my second paragraph is a discourse on aim botting detection, not a reference to you, your demo or a pro or con statement in regards to anything said thus far. It just is.
Although if you read between the lines. Getting banned for hacking is one thing, some hacks are hard to detect or impossible to pin down to a certain peice of evidence. Thats not the case with aimbotting, its blatant.
Someone or a group of people incharge of the banning process have stated the demo indicates aim botting. Right or wrong, no amount of posting, alternative suggestioning, or posturing is going to change what is factually a definitive call. If you feel the administration is lying about the demo or mistaken because you play CS:S like a duo core processor, then those are the answers you’re going to have to live with and rectify, unfortunately you’ll have to rectify them else where due to the unfortunate nature of the issue.
August 27, 2007 at 10:33 am #25445Fascist Flakes (Jagr)
SpectatorCompensating for recoil versus an aimbot/hack snapping the crosshair back to the body of an enemy are very very different when viewing someone. When spectating you Kenrin, and while slowing the demo down to about 25%, your reaction time is almost instantaneous to wherever your recoil goes. When sped back up to 100% speed, there isn’t any time between shot versus reaction time, almost as if you knew where your recoil was going to go and were already compensating for it, or in reality you had a hack that compensated for you.
This is how to fix it. Stop hacking. Case closed.
