Sorry if this sounds *edited*y or elitist or weird,
Hi Everyone, I’m new to this server and I play enough (about 3 hours weekly
). I’ve seen about 3 admins so far: goat, liam and no dice (correct me if I’m wrong)I’m fairly new to CSS actually, but I’ve been playing 1.5 for awhile (awhile as in 2-3 years as a kid) (nothing pro though).
Wait, let me get to my point before you destroy me X_X
Since I’ve been playing on this server, I’ve been always the first to connect to this server when a map changes (except on SK/maps I don’t have, which is most of the time). I’m connecting from Calgary, Canada so I don’t understand why I would connect so fast?
Any input on this? cuz it’s quite weird/freaky to me

First off, welcome! I’m Fascist Flakes, or as others call me just Flakes (or *edited* to some xD :>), and I myself am an admin for the server as well as a student here on campus at WCU. Good to see you bypassed the garbage known as 1.6, CS went from good to worse moving from 1.5 to 1.6, but Source picked it back up. 1.5 was the *edited* though.
As per your loading question, some people load the maps faster than others. For some reason a lot of people don’t load fast whether they are on campus with our server, sitting right next to the server, or whether they’re from Slovenia. Typically sending client data, retrieving server info, etc hangs people for a few more longer seconds than others. Faster and newer computers tend to load the maps faster, especially those with faster memory, processor, etc.

Yeah, I’ve heard of you bracket, supposedly you’re a joke to the admins.
Personally, I also thank you but I guess i’ve never met anyone like you.
As per playing here at WCU, I like the environment i’m playing in but I also heard other things…
I hear that “Kuros” (he’s the president of this community?, i’m not sure of) and I heard he lays down the law brutally.
Kinda scares me but it’s nice to hear that admins actually care… the other CSS servers I play in could care less and only use their admin to abuse.

I have to have at least 50 posts and 2 references from admins to get adminship, am I right?
If that’s right, hmm that’s gonna be years for me but I guess it’s best if I don’t. X_X

Worse than the school’s internet, you for real? Its pretty hard to beat, the school’s internet is hard core when it comes to being connected good and fast!
Hello touchdown, I’m Toadvine, and my computer has been broken for the past 2 1/2 weeks, but hopefully i’ll be back in the server soon. Also, to answer your earlier question, I am interested in philosophy and theology.

Hannah I’m in charlotte and I usually have the best ping on the server 13-20. You have cable?
