Anyone know of some basic music player than I can use so I can with games such as source (which will hender my hearing, but sometimes I just need something blaring). The only thing I have thus far is iTunes, but that tends to come with slower fps when playing with source. The most complicated thing I’d want with it is to be able to make a play list.

is winamp the simplest they get? Even winamp comes with a movie player and all this other stuff that I don’t need/want.

I just run iTunes behind Source and I never have any problems. I only use it when playing zombie mod or something like that though since I prefer not to use music when playing CS or DoD.

It’s not really the simplest though I suppose.

Foobar2000 is really lightweight, but it’s also a *edited* good player with lots of customizable crap. It should take up almost no memory or CPU besides what the codec chain requires.
