The demo was far more linear than the rest of the game. They basically made that first level for teaching the player the basics. In interviews they explained that the first level was the most linear part of the game.

I’m still waiting for the stupid UPS guy to get my copy to me… he left for delivery at 9:16am and here it is, 1:30pm and no game yet :o. I played the demo and thought it was fantastic but I didn’t get to experience all the really cool stuff because the demo really only goes through the beginning ‘tutorial style’ level.

If it doesn’t get here today then I get free shipping though… ^^.

From everything I’ve read about the game, as you play you become immersed and attached to the story/characters/game world. Constantly wanting to know whats going to happen next. The fact that you have about 50 passive abilities to choose from, on top of your hand powers (which all upgrade), and your 6-8 weapons (which all upgrade and have 3 different types of ammo each), is really appealing to me. The demo didn’t even let you fight a Big Daddy and from all accounts doesn’t scratch the surface of the story or game play. The levels beyond the first become more open and exploratory. I read that you can turn off all the console style help in the PC version so that you can experience the world without all the dumb GUI. At any rate, I’ve yet to hear anything bad about the game and to see all reviewers giving this game a 9+ rating really says something.

Oh and one more thing, if you download this game without paying for it then go to hell. Buy it or don’t play it. The team behind this game definitely deserves to be paid for their work!
