SpectatorAs some of you may have noticed, I have not been on the 1.6 server for quite some time now. The reason for this is simple: DELL IS THE WORST COMPANY EVER AND THEIR EMPLOYEES ARE IDIOTS.
My laptop fan broke for no reason, so it was constantly overheating and completely unusable, due to processor throttling. Internet explorer was a real stretch, much less CS. The retards at Dell shipped my laptop to my house in GA even though I told them a week earlier it needed to be shipped to my dorm in NC and the guy told me he changed the address and it would be shipped to NC.
I don’t know, I think that’s what he said but he had an amazingly thick Indian accent for being named “John.” It took 2 weeks to fix it because they were waiting on a part (WTF, they don’t have fans at the warehouse?).
Anyway, I don’t know if anybody’s really noticed except Yoda because he hasn’t had anyone to talk to about how much he hates Duke, but I should have the laptop back by Monday and be playing again after like a month w/o CS.

I had the Premier Dell Support Warranty with the CompleteCare Package (basically the highest possible level of warranty protection and service you can buy for your machine, costs about $400). Everyone I was dealing with during my experience was at the *highest level* of Dell customer service possible, my issue eventually got referred up to the top customer service team at Dell which is composed of 12 people. One guy was tracking my problem the whole time, yet every step of the process was plagued with delays, miscommunications, and flat-out lies about delivery times and what was the source of the hold-up.
Dell used to be great for customer service a few years back when I bought my machine, but since they moved most of their call centers over to India it’s gone to hell in my opinion. Perhaps the lower level tech support is better, but I don’t see why it would be. Supposedly the guys I was dealing with were the best there was and had years of experience. It sure didn’t show, though.
