This really has nothing to do with this game, but has anyone here played STALKER? it looks cool but I haven’t had the money to dish out on it yet; this is only relevant because it’s another new FPS.
Stalker is a great great game. The atmosphere and balistics are awesome. Shooting takes a bit to get control of and most of the people you encounter in the begining are vets/experts while your a rookie (basically) so it takes a lot to kill them. Later on when you get better weapons and armor they die much easier. The best tactic is to shoot them in the head (they all wear body armor and have a life bar that lasts as long as yours). This does mean they can shoot you in the head and you almost die but that is a very rare occasion and if your quick enough to pop a first aid you won’t have any problems.
Ultimately it is a great experience. It isn’t as gut wrenching as Doom 3 (or Fear depending on your personality) and really does a good job of giving a good ratio of the weird moments and the normal (blow up military guys) action. I would say it is worth a buy but be aware that there are issues with people not being able to play the game due to some weird bugs (as usual I guess).
If you ever have a question about a new game feel free to pm me, I pretty much stay on top of everything that is new or up and coming to the gaming world.
If you don’t have the money you could always ‘borrow’ it to ‘make sure’ you like it
