    i was going through the Ram threads and noticed that the 4 gigs being purchased was 1000 bucks.

     

    I’m willing to contribute to bettering the server if need be.

     

    Yall prolly have sponsors but maybe a donations link should be made eh?

     

    A little pocket money hurt no body right?

    Well.. I suppose that you can, but you’ll need to check the legality of it and being an On-campus organization.

     

    as for the money for the ram that is paid for out of the ResNet budget… don’t forget that the server is pulling double duty and has some virtual servers set up on it to manage the Campus AntiVirus stuff as well.

     

    So consider the hardware upgrade a gift from us in ResNet.

     

    As for donations, you could always collect them and then use them to buy stuff for the LAN’s.. food, drinks, and prizes. just a thought.

    yea, now that I’ve had time to think about it… you are probalby right so as long as the donation site isn’t hosted on a WCU server (and paypal isn’t) you guys should be ok.

    Its not hard to do, and i have a paypal plugin i could snap on the site, the issue is going to be who’s account does the money go to. Organizations cant have an account, only people can.

    no we dont…all we do is open a WCU gaming Fundraser bank account under someones name and it should be free if they are a student…or hell we can have one of us open a second student savings account at wachovia or some other bank…then create a paypal off that

    You guys should really open a bank account for the organization. That way the club dosen’t have to rely on Adam’s account (besides he’ll be graduating soon as well). Just a thought.

    why? my parents probably wouldnt let me go see college kids unless i had a friend they knew that was at that college
